Jesus said that He doesn't leave us alone, He sends a Comforter who will teach us all things spiritual... Remind you of the Word of God.

You need a Spiritual counselor, the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is given to each person who has confessed Jesus Christ Lord of their life and believed in His Redeeming blood and Resurrection. The Holy Spirit is with each child of God and will be in child of God. The Holy Spirit is the seal unto the day of redemption. And will raise us up a new everlasting body, soul & spirit at the day of resurrection complete.

Generally, you don't want to look for a Spiritual Mentor. The act of pursuing a person to be your superior doesn't set you up for a healthy relationship, nor does it guarantee that any Mentor will be worthy to be a mentor.

For Spiritual quests, it is far better to seek peers. In the process of being with your peers, you may find a person who you can learn from.

Depending on what you are seeking, I would advise joining a church, temple, fellowship, coven, or other group that reflects your interests.

I would suggest starting with Scripture. When you get to a question, ask. If you feel that the answers you are getting are sound, ask more questions.

Drop your church and follow me.
That will be 10% for the tithe, please.

On a serious note, good luck and don't join a cult.
