ENJOY diversity people! It would be boring if everyone was the same. I dont care what our main language is, (however I do like English) I'm learning Spanish RIGHT NOW so it doesn't matter to me. It would be awkward to have Spanish as our main language.. but nevertheless.... Bilinguals are IN. =P

I don't think it will ever happen. This is partly because English is a technologically and internationally more important language than Spanish and partly because of the climate. For the most part, the United States is simply too far north and too cold for Hispanic peoples to thrive in. The present global warming of the earth is not going to last either. Eventually, normal whether patterns will return all around the world. Most scientists predict another great ice age within the next 5,000 to 10,000 years. There will probably be so-called "mini-ice ages" even before then.
It is interesting to note that during the mini-ice age between 1350 and 1850, Greenland became almost too cold even for the Scandinavians and the Eskimos. A three centuries-old Scandinavian settlement there was wiped out by the brutal cold and a group of Eskimos actually arrived in Scotland.

Well, I think that perhaps 20 more years.
I have observed that for yanks having sex is illegal, and since they want to follow the law, they don't have sex. That means that the population of yanks will decrease in the next few years.
On the other hand, Spanish speaking people keep coming here by the millions and they speak Spanish, not english. Besides, they don't believe that foolishness of sex being illegal and therefore, they have it, increasing their population.
Bottom line, in just a few more years there will be more Spanish speaking people than english speaking.
What really worries me is that it will not be really Spanish, but a dialect, Spanglish. As I have seen, many people in the USA don't speak neither english nor Spanish, but a corrupted dialect. That is bad

They'll be teaching Spanish as a second language in schools before we know it. The way I look at it, you want to come to my country, you need to learn to speak my language. Not the other way around. Ok, I'm gonna stop before I get started.

the Spanish speaking community in the US is growing every year

'En español' option? Really?? If that happens, it's because emigrants don't make the effort to learn English...
