no as human ones pick up human chorionic gonadotrophin which is a human hormone given off by the embryo so it would be no good on a dog. If you think its really far along then a scan would be the best bet by a vet and they could do tests to see when they might be due
Good luck hope it all goes well!!!

well. first of all im not sure about the pregnancy test because dogs and people are differnt and probably have some differnt hormones.
my suggestion is to take her to the vet for the following reasons:
-small dogs can have a harder time giving birth to puppies.
-liquid is coming out of her teats, this could mean she is pregnant, has a medical condition or she could aslo have a false pregnancy which is not healthy.
good luck and congrats if you get puppies

No, a pregnancy test will not work. You need a vet to determine if she is pregnant. This website list some signs you would see if she is pregnant: http://www.pets.ca/articles/article-dogpregnant.htm Dogs can get false pregnancies where they appear to have milk but do not have any puppies, so a vet needs to do an ultrasound or feel around on the stomach to feel for the puppies to be sure.

Hmm...good question.
What to Watch For:
Nesting behavior (attempting to make a nest by tearing up papers, blankets, etc.)
Mothering activity (this may include mothering of shoes, toys and other articles)
Weight gain (which typically occurs after the 4th week of pregnancy)
Abdominal enlargement or swelling
Mammary gland enlargement. The mammary glands may be large and secrete milk or serous fluid.
Abnormal behavior. If your dog does not eat, acts lethargic or you notice excessive vaginal discharge, please call your veterinarian as soon as possible.
Diagnosis:
Your veterinarian may perform some diagnostic tests to confirm your dog's health and to determine if she is pregnant. These include:
A complete medical history and physical examination
Evaluating your dog's heat cycle and any potential breeding episodes
Abdominal palpation (technique of examining the organs and other parts of the body by touching and feeling). However, puppies can seldom be felt until at least 26 to 35 days after breeding and fetuses can be difficult to feel in some dogs.
Abdominal radiographs or x-rays. The skeleton of the puppy is visible on an X-ray after 45 days of pregnancy. They will also show other abnormalities, such as organ enlargement or abnormal fluid accumulation, are present.
Abdominal ultrasound can be used to diagnose pregnancy after 21 to 24 days post breeding. This is a safe and excellent way to diagnose pregnancy and verify the health of the puppies. Ultrasound can also be used to estimate litter size.

No human pregnancy tests do NOT work for dogs.
Also dogs can go through a false pregnancy. I recommend that you get your girl spayed.she will be much happier & healthier plus live longer.

No, I don't think they do. You need to take her to the vet and have her tested there. If she is pregnant, then Congratulations and Good Luck!
