my boyfriend forgot his phone at my place, and i went through his messages....i know i shouldnt have. to cut a long story short, i found a few messages he sent to another woman. and they aren't the messages u'd sent to a friend. now what do i do? how do i resolve this? i had no business going through his phone anyway, but i need to resolve this.

First off, chill out. Don't go and automatically assume he's been cheating on you. Assess your relationship with him first. How long have you been dating? Is he really your boyfriend or do you just consider him to be one seeing that you've dated a few times? Have you had the serious relationship talk? Have you been seeing other guys yourself? Would there be anything you've done lately to give him the idea that you're seeing other people? Maybe he thinks you're about to dump him so he's trying to make sure he won't be alone. There's any number of different things that could be wrong here.

Return his phone to him calmly first.
Then, a few days later, ask him over dinner if he has any 'special friends' lately, or gotten close with another female (which is technically your potential love rival). Also, take the opportunity to say something like, you'll respect his decision if he decides to choose a better girl than you. When he asks 'what are you talking about?' or denies, then admit that "Ok, I'm not going to lie to you. And I apologise for doing so, but I saw some messages on your phone the other day when you left it with me..."
And see what he says. If he clarifies himself and you accept his answer, then move on. If anything unfortunate happens (eg. quarrel, fight). then maybe a breakup or cooling-down period may be necessary.

well if u confront him he wil say u shouldn't b lookin through he phone if u can find a reason y u looked through the phone coz u shouldn't really need to unless u didn't trust him (which by the message u shouldn't of)then u can resolove it and ask him y he was cheatin on u

Break up with the cheater and find another boyfriend who will be true to you alone. Unless you don't mind being one of many on his list.

Be honest & tell him you checked his messages. Then dump his cheating***. You can find someone that not going to lie & cheat.
