as a fan? the best way is to wach the reces, in the corse of a single season all the major rules and regulations will be repeated relentlessly, the best thing to do is pick a driver car or sponsor you like and fallow them , by the end of the year you'll almost be an expert yourself,

if you mean get into it as in to drive the best way either through go-karting, or local U.S.A.C. or S.C.C.A. racing

Karting is the best place to get started in racing (and the cheapest). Here's a couple sites with tons of good info for the newbie:

www.tsracing.com

www.ekartingnews.com

Good luck and have fun!

The best way to get started is to have a last name like PETTY -WALTRIP--EARNHARDT--ANDRETTI. Not you? How about having parents that are very wealthy.Don't have them?Try golf or bowling, because you have your work cut out for yourself.Breaking into racing is tough."Want to know how to make a small fortune in racing? If you want to race then get a shifter kart and learn to drive fast on the edge.

If you want to work in the business then jayski.com lists schools, programs, seminars, and job opening here: http://www.jayski.com/pages/school.htm

Good luck!
