Different religions have different concept of Judgement Day. The ancient Egyptians, for example, believed that judgement happened when someone died. The deceased's heart was weighed on a scale by Thoth--if it was heavy with sin, a monster (a combination of a hippo and a crocodile)ate it, destroying the soul.

The Christian concept varies from denomination to denomination and individual to individual. The beliefs range from the Day happening at the time of death to souls "sleeping" until the Final Judgement. Some Christians say it will be a tribunal, with good going to heaven, the bad to hell, and the earth being destroyed; others say if God is a kind loving Father as Jesus said, all would enter heaven.

Muslims call the it Qiyamah. On this Final day, all people are held accountable for their actions in life. Qiyamah will happen when God wills, at a time when people least expect it (many Christians also believe this). The good people go to the garden, the bad people go to hell.

No, the judgement takes place in Heaven while the dead are resting in graves. Then the Almighty makes the pronouncement Rev.22:11... then the plagues start. If we are alive, it will soon dawn on us that things have changed somewhat. All we can do is hang on to YAHOSHUA until the resurrection of the righteous!

No one has ever been there and returned. So any answer said here might be right - and might be wrong. Really - don't rely on other people's answers. Rely on YOURSELF and what you think. It is your mind, your body, your soul. You can choose how to behave and choose what you believe is right.
If there is ajudgement day - NO ONE but the "judge" can say what is right and what is wrong. Other people, who will also be judged, don't have the right to tell you.

Yes, you will be faced with the Truth. The Truth is not something it is somebody. You will see your soul as it is. You will be like St. Peter when he said "Away from me Lord, for I am a sinful man" and he will grant your wish to go to Hell or you will love him so much and want to be with him so much that you will cry "Have Mercy on me a sinful man" and then according to your life he will allow you to enter Heaven or Purgatory depending on where you are in a purification process

Yes, you will know. Every eye will see Him and every knee will bow to Him. It will be a sad time for the ones standing on His left side; they will be begging and saying "Did we not do all these great things in your name?" But Christ will say, "Depart from me for I never knew you". So, good deeds and good works are fine attributes but we must have faith and a personal relationship with Jesus---or the works are all in vain.

It will be very scary and we will all know it, because we will be busy giving an account for all the words we have spoken, so if you're a big talker it's going to take a long time.
