I'm aware I'll have to sacrifice some quality but I can't seem to find anything even close to Guinness (let alone something similar with a smaller price tag).

Colin me brother, there is no substitute for Guiness. Please make sacrafices elsewhere! Cancel the family vacation. Cancel cable. Sell your house and move into a smaller one. Anything else, but Colin, my friend, life is much too short to drink cheap beer!

I gotta say, that as a devoted Guinness lover, there is nothing quote like it. I have tried micro-brews and they can't even come close. And the "similar" ones from the liquor store really dusgust me, especially because of the lack of quality and taste. I'd stick with Guinness and maybe spend less someplace else in your budget, because you're not going to find anything close.

I am a Guinness lover as well, and I have found that some micro-breweries will have something close to Guinness and they usually sell you "take-out" beer. I haven't ever really been able to find anything close in a liquor stor.

how dare you! if you really loved guinness, you would gladly spend your last dime on a nice, cold guinness draught with its rising foam and frothy head. mmm... guinness. brilliant.

Try Michelob Amberbock its texture is not as heavy and its not as creamy but the taste is comparable to Guiness and its cheaper.
