I would recomind different sterios for you but I dont know what your budget is... for example if you dont have a budget I would go with JL Audio the W7's they are the best speaker on the market. Pioneer used to crap back in the day but they have come a long way with there head units. Just dont buy there amps or speakers. now reading your question your just wanting some bump in your sterio. To get the most bang for your buck I would go with Pioneer for you head unit, and then I would go with Audiobahn for the Subs and Amps. Just one thing to remember about Audionbahn is they are made to BUMP they arent made for sound quality.. feel free to email me and I can point you to the right web site for the best price and I can even help you design your sterio.

you want some examples

DEH-P780MP - Headunit Pioneer
AW1205N - Sub Audiobahn
A8000V - Amp Audiobahn

I can't answer your entire question but I can try to shed some light on your amp/woofer set up. In my opinion, a couple of 10" woofers in a ported box is the best way to go. A 10" is going to give you a tighter sound that will work with a wide variety of music. A 12" will give you a lower sound but might lack some punch. And two 12"s can eat up a lot of power and space as well. The port will help add a lot of low end to the sound. The key to a good system is to have the box specs match the recommended sub specs as close as possible. Your first step should be to figure out how big of a box you can fit. Then find the sub that will work with the space you have and once you have that, select the box that matches the sub best. A custom built box is always the best way to go. Most dealers charge $300+ for a custom enclosure, but if you can find a hobbyist like myself, you could get a box for around $100. On the amp side, well a mono class D is always a good way to go. Its a pretty safe bet that if you have a 800 watt sub, that an 800 watt amp should do you just fine.

amp get a d2400 (its a directed 1200 watt rms amp)
-this is a mono block amp so run the speakers in series
subs two mtx 8500 you can go 12 or 15
12- 500 watt rms
15- 600 watt rms
if you go with 12 keep amp at 3/4 power
then you want crazy bass go with the slegge hammer mtx box
then a good head unit is a jvc exad KW-AVX706 this is 900 its not touchscreen but it will play your ipod and you can put an sd card in it that has picture and songs on it and ply them on the radio and you can take a pic and put it as you background and with this headunit you can hook up surround sound in your car when you watch movie and stuff..... also go to a unrepatable shop to have this hookd up so they will hook it up so you can watch movies when your driving because if you go to a nomrmal shop they have to put it so you cant wtch movies while your driving

this is a nice set up people will hear you from a long time away

what a bunch of fools! They don't know jack! Imps are great rides and easy to thump. I highly recommend JL W7, W6V2. But if you want serious knock get 2 15's! A band pass or ported box, and a 2 channel amp bridged. (That'll give you 2 ohms resistance) Now, for example if you get two subs that have a RMS watt of like 300, you need an amp that puts out about 600 watts RMS to run them without straining. Look for Class-D technology and MOSFET signal processing. You'll need a 1 or 2 farad capacitor to keep from dimming your lights and burning up your alternator while your beatin down the block. Also to keep your factory warning chimes you'll need one of these: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-lYfgI7VpGyG/cgi-bin/prodview.asp?i=120GMRC01

this is an excellent website to find what is out there, I know that Chevy's are DIN and 1/2 ( 4 inch tall opening), and there are touch screens that fit that hole and look sooooo good! like the Alpine IVA-W200, Check it out. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-lYfgI7VpGyG/cgi-bin/ProdGroup.asp?g=168550

1. Something other than an Impala
2. Remove the muffler and gun it. They'll hear you long before they see you.
