I know it's an honor to have a party thrown for me and my singlehood before marriage, but I really don't want one. If I must choose an activity along with the ladies, I would do a spa day with my girlfriends.

I really want a bachelor/bachelorette co-ed nightclub party (maybe with Go-Go dancers??) since our friends are mixed both guys and gals. But does me and my fiance have a say?? I think my bridesmaids will be up for the idea, but how do I (nicely and respectfully) explain my wishes and desires about these pre-wedding parties?? I'm willing to shell out some of my own cash to make it one great party that everyone can enjoy!!!

Just let your friends know. If they are in your wedding party, I assume you are close with them and they would want to honor your wishes. Just be honest and tell them up front, say something like, "Just in case you were planning something for my bacholorette, I would really prefer........"

That's what we're doing. Mutual engagement party at a bar or restaurant that we like. The nice way to tell your girlfriends that you don't want a 'bachelorette' party is to tell them that you don't think it's necessary to celebrate singlehood because you already feel committed (even married if you want wa stronger term) to him. Your fiance has to tell his boys the same thing though, guys are a little harder to dissuade about stuff like that.

If you do not feel comfortable then by all means let them know. Tell them what you would rather do. Whats the worse that could happend? You not have the bachelorette party? You didn't want to have it anyway. Im sure they will value your honesty and respect your decision.

I would just tell them. Remember, this is your party....they can still plan it but let them know what you would like.

Just be honest with them and they should be fine with it...you are the bride so your say matters.

Tell your MOH what you want and let her make it happen for you. It's your day, you should have whatever you want.
