I ordered this camera from this company, www.thedigitalexpo.com, and paid for a three day shipping. It has now been 5 days and no camera. I called customer service only to have the owner tell me he is hanging up on me and when i called back, he just put me on hold for 10 minutes, i hung up. How do you warn people of companies like this one? I paid over $200 for this camera. I am a military member and a friend of mine is deploying soon. To help keep in touch, I wanted to give him this camera but it looks as though I won't be receiving it. How do I warn people of website/companies as this? I am really fumed up!!

First off, if you paid for the camera with a credit card, contact your credit card company and tell them about the situation so they can do a chargeback to these weasels and give you your money back.

As far as warning others, join consumer information sites like Epinions.com and write scathing reviews about your experience to try to steer others away from experiencing the same sort of problems.

Contact your credit card company ASAP. There are protections in place. Also, contact the FBI internet fraud division and the police department in his area. You may also want to contact a lawyer to write a very, very stern letter to this jerk.

You may or may not get your camera, but you should at least get $200 worth of satisfaction out of making his life miserable.

I don't know where you live, but a lot of the local news channels here in NC have people that go after services and goods for the rest of us. They've been pretty successful in getting what the consumer was supposed to have to begin with.
