A Chiropractor. There's no such thing as a 'slipped disc'. Your spine is simply misaligned.

Speaking from experience, you would first see your Primary Care Physician who would assess your condition and if he feels you have a slipped or herniated disk he will order an MRI first.
Then if you do have a disk problem he will refer you to a Neurologist or Orthopedic Surgeon for further recommendations.
Sometimes your physician will wait before he refers you to a specialist, if he thinks the disk will slip back into place or he feels you may heal on your on. It all depends on the seriousness of your condition. Not all herniated disks are an emergency condition, it depends on the size of the herniation, if it's impinging on a nerve, your pain level, and how your mobility is. Don't worry and make an appointment right away, and find a comfortable position and stay that way as much as possible to prevent further damage. No lifting at all!!!!!!!! Best of Luck!

I would first see your family practitioner because you may need a referral. He will run the necessary tests to diagnose you whether or not it really is a slipped disc and dcide from there who to send you to. I would think either a Neurologist or an Orthopedic Surgeon.

See your GP first - you may need referring for an x-ray to confirm if it is a slipped disc or not. An Osteopath could advise too.
