The guys in the 1991 Gulf War found this out when they drank only Diet Coke instead of Iraqi water.
Good go, did some of these boys get sick!
They were PRESERVING their intestines!
I love the concept of Splenda, and even use it sometimes.
I don't know what they're gonna find out about that, but it beats formaldehyde.

I did now this and something else also. See you can take a diet coke and open the bottle and leave it out for days or weeks and mold and gross stuff will not grow in it for that very reason. Also the artificial sweeteners in most diet drinks over time can do the same to the liver as alcohol, their are many diabetic people who have the same livers as alcoholics because of this. As far as we know right now splenda is safe, but it really is still new. Hope every learns something from this, great question and info. THANKS!

Sure did. That is why I tell people it is only good to switch to nutrasweet if you have a specific health reason to avoid sugar.

We all know that we eat things that are bad for us on a regular basis. You just have to be aware of what your eating and if you are ok with the effects it will have on your body.
