excuse me, the village called. it's missing it's idiot. OF COURSE it's not all right to eat batteries!! they won't kill him/her but they can potentially do a lot of harm. Second of all, your dog probably hurt when u slapped him/her in the face. Do not do that. the dog doesn't realize what it did wrong. second your dog can't understand you. i know, i know, but it's the sad truth. try taking a battery out, showing it to him/her letting him/her sniff it a bit (DON'T let him/her eat it!) then say "No!" and shake your finger and him/her. wash, rinse, and repeat. then after a few times of doing this, show the battery, say "no!" and then present a dog treat and say "Yes!" or "Good boy/girl!" when they eat the dog treat, and not the battery. also, you don't POST SOMETHING ON THE INTERNET LIKE THIS!! call the vet!! your dog might be DYING and you';re sitting at your computer asking people who might not even know what they're saying their OPINION on something like this. you can't afford to take that risk, you need to call a vet NOW....if your dog saw you, lying on the floor, after having drunk something that she/he though might be poison, she/he's gonna just walk off "oops, I'm late for my fetch class. i think I'll post a question on the internet and check back later"
I'm sorry, but that's not right.

I hope you are not serious. You really shouldn't own a dog if this is how you treat it.
1. Keep things you don't want chewed or eaten out of reach of the animal. It's similar to how you cover outlets when there is a baby in the house.
2. Don't slap the dog, especially in the face. The dog does not understand that is a punishment. It can make your dog aggressive or afraid. Also, it is considered animal abuse.
3. Batteries are NOT okay for any living thing to ingest. Skip the aerobics and give your vet a call to explain the situation.

take your dog to the vet. ASAP. batteries are not good for anyone to swallow.
hitting your dog wont do anything to teach them it's not wrong - trust me i have a dog that steals and eats weird things it doesnt help. to prevent her/him frm eating strange stuff then put it where she/he cannot get it OR take it to a trainer and they will work with you.
i'd skip your aerobics class and take them to an emergency vet. just to be safe.

it's not ok for anything to eat batteries. you need to take your dog to the vet immediately and they might be able to save her. if you don't she's probably not going to live, there's acid in batteries and it will get out and hurt her. if you leave her like that at home, she's not going to be ok and it's going to be all your fault.

oh, you gotta be kidding me.
I know that answering these questions is like feeding the trolls, but I just have to say:
Don't let your dog eat stuff like that--clean up your house.
Don't slap your dog--it's not cool. It teaches dogs fear, not respect or discipline;
Don't play on Yahoo! Answers--it'll make you go blind.
Tool. I hope you don't have a dog for real--you don't deserve one.

my firends dog ate one, and they had to get months worth of morphine? for dogs to ease the pain from the battery acid.. she will start to whine soon if she isnt, and its because she is in EXTREME pain, have you ever gotten battery acid on your hand? you know how badly it burns..well imagine getting ten times more and into your stomach, imagine the pain.

Does anyone else suspect that the dog is the brains of that household?
Thanks for the two points.
