I dont think they'd let her stay in school if she had lice. Are you sure that the lice thing isnt a rumor spread by someone mean?

How would you feel if people hated you and you were desperate for friends???? One or more of you should be discussing this with a teacher in order for her to get some help.

She is probably living in an unclean environment, and there needs to be some help given to her and her family on that level. I am sure that she is not happy about having lice.

You need to be more mature, and realize that many people you met in this world are not going to be acceptable for you. You also have to develop some kindness and understanding, that is part of growing up. Get your classmate some help, she is most likely a wonderful person, and is trapped in a situation in which she has no control.

Be truthful. If she truly had lice, she would not be allowed to be in school right now.

So the true reason is, she is unpopular and has no friends and is following your group around in an attempt to belong somewhere. If you don't like her, and don't want her around, then so be it. I would guess that it is probably a mixture of that and not wanting to be associated with her out of fear of then being ostracized yourself.

1 - Don't tease her. That's cruel and you'll feel bad about it later in life when you grow up

2 - Upfront, politely and firmly tell her that she is not welcome among your group. My guess is you're just giving her the cold shoulder and other "hints" - you want her to go away without you having to deal with the guilt emotions of confronting her. That's why you'll be tempted to tease her or be mean about it as well - so you won't feel guilty about it. Don't do it - be polite.

I don't know the exact situation (obviously), but I am tempted to feel sorry for her.

Maybe you should tell her to get something to help with the lice. Be her friend.
