I HATE being 4'11...i'm 16, CAN I STILL GROW?

btw i'm female....
my height is my biggest insecurities, i'm like the shortest in my classes...this is usually ALWAYS

i even had stuffed my shoes with socks so that i could appear taller

i HATE shopping because PANTS neverr fit!

even the arms of a blouse are a little long 4 me

people always comment on my height , saying..
"aww your so short"
"shorty"

I wish i could grow to be at least 5'2-5'4
can i?

I'm 5'10" and trust me it's no better being way up here. I have a hard time finding clothes that fit too. Pants are always too short and shirts are the worse. I have such long arms that most of my tops are short sleeve. If I were to buy long sleeve shirts I have to wear them as 3/4 sleeved shirts. Chill out you will grow until your 21 then that's the height you will be for life. You will have an easier time finding a boyfriend because guys almost always like girls to be shorter than them and not taller.

There is surgery they can do where they break your legs, stretch them, and then let the bone heal back. You can gain a couple of inches, but thats a pretty extreme step to take.

There are advantages to being short too - I am 6'3" and I am constantly hitting my head on crap that everyone else walks under. Being able to reach stuff on high shelves is a bonus, but just about everything in the world is made for 'average height' people, so cars, desks, etc. are always crowded for me to sit in.

It sounds like you need help with self-esteem, since you seem to place so much importance on how other people view your height. Be proud of who you are, and how you look. If someone makes a snide comment, just tell them to f**k off. If they don't have anything better to do than wander around pointing out how short you are, then they deserve to be treated the same way.

Hey, you're tall than I was at 16. I might have been 4'7" tall. Now I'm 5' 11" tall and I'm 32. I had my biggest growth spirt 20 to 22.

Chill out I still have the same trouble with clothes now that you are having.

I will say that the extra pair of socks in your shoes is good for your feet. Weather you wear them or stuff them.

Yes, you can still grow. I had a 3 1/2" growth spurt at age 18... I came home from my first semester at college and none of my clothes fit anymore!

BTW, your pants never fit but you can get them hemmed fairly cheaply at just about any drycleaner! Same goes for shirt sleeves. A decent seamstress can make all the difference in your confidence... you always feel better when clothes fit properly. And trust me, its easier to have them shortened than lengthened!

Maybe 5 ft 1 but i definitely doubt 5 ft 4. its still possible you can grow u still have 2 years. i have a friend whos just like you shes 16 and 4 ft 11. you can go 2 the doctor and theres a blood test they can do and ur doc can check your shoulders 2 give u a little prediction of how much ur gonna grow. i hope you grow a little bit more!!!!
