Keep in mind his blown tire took him out of the front of the pack in th e shootout - he knows how to race ovals (a STRONG Indy 500 win in his first attempt). Give him a good car and he will USE it - he's a racer as much as a driver.

I could see that however he is starting in the back and if he can make it through the big one he will have a shot. Gonna be a great driver in nascar though I can see him winning atleast 2 races this year and fighting for a championship by 2009.

I predict a top 20 for Montoya. Maybe a top 10. He can do it. He needs more experience in the cup car.

If you are talking about a top 10 in Daytona this weekend, I doubt it. But he will get several top 10 finishes this season. Maybe a top 3 at Watkins Glen or Infineon (road courses)?

I aggree and hope you're right.As long as he doesn't get caught up in a wreck,he has a good chance.The GOOD OL BOYS want him to fail.They don't want no FERNERS in cup.You can say what you want about OPEN WHEEL RACING,the FACT remains-he has proven himself in some of the fastest race cars on the planet.GO GET EM JP !

I think he will. He races good. He only finishes bad if his engine blows or he recks. He shows he can race a stock car real good. I am rooting for him.
