No and yes. Water does not make pimples go away. Water flushes the toxins out of your body, not your face, so yes it can make your body healthier and your skin on your entire body healthier because it will be hydrated from having water.

Pimples are caused by dirt, germs, oil and dead skin...things that can be gotten rid of by cleansing your face. Eating greasy foods or sweets does not cause acne. However, if this is ALL you eat...meaning, you always eat at McDonald's or CONSTANTLY eat Hostess snack and no other food and don't drink water, then yes this can cause your skin to produce bad oils leading to a different kind of acne.

The only non-prescription cure for acne is keeping your face clean. Don't touch your face with dirty hands, wipe your phones down with rubbing alcohol to eliminate the grease, change your pillow case every few days, and wash at the most 3 times per day if you have oily skin, once a day if you have dry skin. And as for one poster who said to use rubbing alcohol...no. This dries your skin out severly, which can cause more acne, since one of the causes of acne is dead skin and build-up of dry skin. Your natural moisture will be depleted if you put alcohol on your skin.

By the way...the effects of increasing your water takes about 2 weeks to even notice any difference, and if you're like me...I can only last a day with increasing how much I drink..simply because I can't stand the taste of any water. So it's not something you can do one day and think it will work. Also...my mom has oily skin, she drinks about 10 glasses of water everyday, eats VERY healthy, washes her face twice sometimes more a day, she's 48 years old...and still has acne!

To the poster above me...If you are referring to popping pimples when you say "performing your own surgery"...The general popping of a pimple does not lead to scarring. It's when you DON'T pop or you OVERPOP that causes scars. And I'm one that does scar easily on other parts of my body and I can tell you right now, I have popped pimples so many times in my life and the only times I did scar were when I didn't pop a pimple...because it doesn't just go away on it's own, it leaves a pit in your face and the dirt and oil just spread deeper into the skin, and the other times I scarred were when I would pop too much, which means popping when the pimple is almost gone and has formed a yellow crust or scab from the oil. A smart dematologist will tell you this. An uninformed one will think otherwise just so they can get you to buy their product. Not to mention, my uncle is living proof of this. He never popped a pimple in his life and now at 51 years old his face is severly pitted.

Don't use moisturisers during day but add a none Oliy one for nights(to replenish you're water, not oil.
After any physical activities, immediately cleanse off sweat,(if not, you're sweat will clog you're pores) "Stridex pads, or similar prod. will do nicely".
Now add, Vitm. Beta Carotene (this is a watersalluable source of Vitm. A ), needet to dry up Acne, also take Vitm.Zinc, 25mg. per day, and Vitamin E,5oomg. This combination will greatly help with Acne and prevent you from having any scarring.
For "systic Acne" you must see a Dermotologyst (they will use Acu Tan) or you can get a RX for "Retin A" ( as you can see, The source of "A" is used in all the treatments) however, "A" can and will be dangerous to you're Liver unless waterbased, (that's why you get Beta Caratene)over the counter and the none water based you will need a prescrption.

Yes water helps with skin tone. You need water to flush out toxins, but also hormonal imbalances can play a factor in pimples. Many things do, stress, not cleaning your face properly, etc.

You need to take your weight and divide it by half and whatever the answer is drink that many ounces of water. You do not want to drink too much water, because you can actually drwon yourself or cause your brain to swell and die from it. It's like anything too much can kill.

acne soaps that contain tea tree oil are really good for your skin. It kills the bacteria that causes a lot of pimples. Althght do not buy tea tree oil and put it directly onto the skin, because it will burn it.

Alo diet plays an extremely important role in your appearence when it comes to acne, because it balances out a lot of things in your body. You want to eat a lot of fruits and veggies. preferibly raw or steamed.

Yes, drinking lots of water will help control acne and help make your skin healthier. Drinking lots of water will help regulate your body's moisture balance and will help keep your skin hydrated. This should keep you from overproducing oil and also keep your skin from getting too dry, which can also lead to clogged pores. Drinking lots of water will also help you to flush the toxins out of your system.

Water consumtpion (in general) is good for you.

(IF) you have really really bad acne - your parents insurance probably/most likely will cover the cost of seeing a Dermatologist even if you need a referal from your Primary Care Physician. Too many people think that you must be seriously injured to use what your insurance covers (it may cover more than you think it does). ASK. If it does and you can see a Dermatologist - then do so.

Ask yourself this: Do I scar easily on other parts of my body.
If that answer is YES - than chances are you will scar easily on your face/neck. That is why it is imperative that you DO NOT - perform SELF SURGERIES on your face to rid yourself of your acne. FORCED zit/blemish popping, etc.... is SELF INFECTING. DO NOT use harsh abrasive creams/soaps/facial treatments those RAKE OVER YOUR SKIN - thus allowing newer fresher skin to be exposed to the elements you most want to avoid - they are more suseptable because they are fresh - like a wound of sorts and a magnet to anything that is airborn, etc....

I have two uncles that are Dematologist (one has six daughters) and they grew up on Neutrogina (face bar soap) and they have "to die for" skin - all have beautiful skin. Growing up - sure - they gat a zit or two - can were always told to NEVER POP THEM - FORCED POPPING - and to let avoid the sun and to wash (at least) twice a day and let them dry themselves out - If they have nothing to *feed on* (if you will) then they will go away. That is to say (IF) you let them *on thier own*. Cover-ups ONLY CLOG - a temp fix for a guaranteed - work in progress that you will have to deal with later.

Bottom - LIne: don't scar up your face for the sake of your appearance - NOW. The people who you "hang with" NOW will be long gone when you have grown out of your youth and (if) you let yourself grow out of your youth now and without injury inflicted BY YOU - then You will look even BETTER to the world you have yet to encounter - THEN - you will be GLAD YOU DID.

Maybe not cure it but if you're dehydrated it will help your skin and your entire body. Water is essential for chemical reactions that take place in your body all the time.
