I have photo's of a man that claims to live in Ikeja,Lagos,Nigeria. But as I have found out the zip code he gave me is for Va....He also gave me a cell phone number & the code for Nigeria does match the number he gave me.He claims he wants to come to the states.Yes, he has asked for me to send him money & I have refused to do such a thing.Though I have photos he sent me that was suppose to be him. And if there is anyone else that has met a guy online especially on yahoo personal. Please contact me at debbie_d1027 on yahoo. And I will send his photo to you to see if it's the same guy that you have been in contact with & have been talking & chatting with online as well as myself.

I wonder how many times I've seen this scam before. The girl thinks she's in love, the guy just wants her money.

Don't send him ANY money. You can chat all you want, but he doesn't really want to come to the States. If you do send him money, I can almost guarantee that you'll never hear from him again. I watch alot of cop shows, and most girls, suprisingly, do fall for this one. Be the smart one and take a step back. Tell him that you did find that the zip code is Virginia. See what he says. The cell phone might have been bought in Nigeria on a trip or something, hence the Nigerian area code.

Hope I helped!

I've composed a standard response to e-mails like that:

"Ha ha. I laughed. I cried. What's the deal, anyway? Why don't you just get a real job and leave us law-abiding citizens alone?"

Once, as a joke, I started up a correspondence with "Rashidath Maxwell." When I offered to get her in touch with the Catholic Church of Canada, she mysteriously disappeared.
