I am thinking about getting a tattoo sometime in the near future however I was a little concerned. I have had 13 piercings and all of which have either never fully healed or left crazy scars. Even my monroe piercing left me with a weird scar/bump inside my mouth. The only piercings I never had trouble with however did take out were my tongue, ears (just lobes), and eyebrow. Would it be a bad idea for me to get a tattoo? What are the chances of getting some type of weird scarring from it?

it almost sounds like you're describing a mild form of keloids. Go to a dematologist and make sure thats not exactly what IS causing your scarring.

Scarring of a tattoo occurs when either the scab gets pulled off early or the artist goes in too deep. A normal tattoo will not scar. However, If what you are describing is keloids it can affect your tattoo immensely. some keloid patients end up with a tattoo that looks like a big burn mark because of their scarring. Best check it out before you do decide to get one.

As long as you go to a good quality artist you should be ok. Talk with the tatoo artist first to see what they think. They are the experts but I don't think you should have anything out of the ordinary if you follow their instructions on how to care for it.

speak to a tattoo artist and tell them your concerns, and if they are honest with you then they will tell you if you should get a tattoo or not, and also tell you how to take care of it. But if you are really unsure then don't get one, wait until you are 100% certain, remember tattoos are for life.

As long as you take care of your tattoos they dont leave any discoloring and 'scarring' tattoo, when you think about it are actually scarring your skin. but hope you get a good one!

you hve to be really careful with your tatoo, for about 2 or 3 weeks depending on how your skin reacts to the tatoo ink ( i don't kno the real word for that) i got a tat 4 years ago and they tell you to buy curel... the one that is for dry dry dry skin... its kinda painful because it scars... but after 2 weeks you will be alright... you;re not suppouse to be touching your scar... because you canget an infection... but its all worth iT!!!!
