High class: The State Building along the Chao Phraya River. Magnificent view of bangkok. Food is okay. I had drinks at the Distil Bar and dinner at Mezzaluna Restaurant, a continental restaurant. For 5 the bill was around USD 300. It's not a cheap place but, the view is spectacular. You can take the Silom line skytrain to the last station, Saphan Taksin Station. It's about a 7 minute walk to the entrance.

There's the Seafood Palace near the Asoke station of the Skytrain. Great seafood for 2400 baht maybe less, an array of seafood. I was with 3 others. Around 9 pm they have Thai traditional dancers.

Or try Seafood Market and restaurant. Here you choose your fish, vegetables and how you want it cooked. And all the prices are right in front of you. Pretty noisy. Can be fun. For around 1500 to 2000 baht or more depending on your tastes and drinking habits. LOL Oh yeah, you can walk to it, It's on Sukhumvit Soi 24 a block off sukhumvit.

Oh yeah, if you want sushi.

There is Shin Daikoku in Wattana. Great atmosphere, reasonable price for USA and good fish. They have a koi pond in the middle of the restaurant and tatami rooms surround the pool and then open dining in the rear of the restaurant. Short walk on Sukhumvit Soi 19, you might need to take a taxi.
