It was the "land" of nod. He named the city after his son "Enoch". Obviously at first it was a small town. We have no idea how big it was at its largest, or exactly where it was.

Nod had a population of 23,000,000,000,000 but that volcano outside the city they called God reduced those numbers to 3

Actually, that passage is criptic. The city was not a city at all but actually a man. A man named Don. Cain was gay... and Don was huge!
