Ive been dating this guy (im 20,hes 24)for about a month and a half.I am really attached to him now, and I am starting to get VERY jealous feelings. He's not the best looking guy, but hes very outgoing and friendly. He lives in a diff. city than I do,so I dont know his friends very well.i get very angry whenevr I see him talking to or hugging another girl. I understand that they are his friends from high school, but it still bugs me(and no hes not the player type).I had a talk with him last week about this and he said he respected me telling him that and he would "take care of it".Well, last night we went out to a bar where he livesHe was doing the same thing that i asked him not to and he said that its harmlessHe also kept telling me Ishould pay more attention to him.I went to the bathroom and when I came out there was a girl all over him so I freaked out. He got really mad and said I embarassed him.I asked him what he want to do about "us" he said whatever makes me happy. What do u think?

maybe you should just try to relax. Its OK to feel this way. Sometimes you have to hide your feeling. Be confident about yourself. If your confident then you have nothing to worry about, he's with you remember....

I really don't think you need to be jealous of him talking to old friends that are girls. He's an outgoing guy. Of course socializes and hugs girls. It's just a part of his personality, and it's probably part of what attracted you to him in the first place. Just accept him for who he is, or move on if you don't feel like you can, because confronted him about who he is will just drive him away.

About the bathroom incident, from everything else you said, it makes me wonder what you meant by saying the girl was 'all over him.' Was she just being friendly, or was she blatantly flirting? Was he flirting back? If he was, then maybe I'd say something. Tell him you have no problem talking to friends that are girls, but you do mind about the flirting, if that's what happened.

Jealousy does not keep a person from cheating on you. Jealousy will only ensure that the relationship has a sour undertone. I agree with the persons statement from above. There are some serious deep rooted insecurities that you need to deal with. Jealousy does not come and go with relationships. Each and every relationship you enter in to from here on out will be tinged with jealousy unless you learn to control it. I was a very jealous person at 20.... at 25 I started realizing that jealousy is an attempt to control another persons actions. I also started understanding that my worst fears and reservations and jealous twinges never once put me in control. If the person loves you, he will not cheat on you regardless if you are jealous or not. If he does not, then he will regardless of whether you are jealous or not... in other words, Jealousy will not help a situation.. only hurt.

You need to figure out why you feel so insecure. Jealousy stems from within you, not what others do to you. Are you feeling insecure, what can he do to make you feel secure that is reasonable. Maybe if you are serious about this guy you can seek help to deal with your issues and ask him to meet these girls and see what they are really about. I would not care if my man hugs other gals as long as he goes home with me. Start hugging his friends see if he gets jealous

Sounds to me like you have a problem. I understand that you really like him and all, but diff cities is a ‘no no’. You should get someone closer to you. And if he felt the same way about you, then he would have listened to what you told him.
