Based on the “Left Behind” series of apocalyptic novels, the game has been distributed to over 10,000 retail locations including Wal-Mart, just in time for the holiday season. Dubbed “Left Behind: Eternal Forces,” the action is set in New York City where a Christian militia is engaged in bloody combat with “bad guys” who refuse to accept Jesus. Despite earlier protests from civic groups, the company behind this intolerant video fare defends the game as “inspirational entertainment.”

What are your thoughts on this? Will this preach religious intolerance or will kids hopefully ignore the religious elements?

But you know that if there was a game about atheists running around shooting christians, it wouldn't make it to the shelf at all. No that I would want that game ... it's just odd that the public can accept that version of good and evil as being ok for kids.

What if it were christians gunning down mormons? or muslims? or jews? or black people? or gay people?

Those Left Behind people are a joke anyhow. Have you seen Kirk Cameron's website? He has a test you can take to see if you will go to heaven or hell!!!!

Wow. I haven't heard of those. And I was worried about the children playing games like Godfather, Hitman, GTA, and Saint's Row.

Just the thought of a religious militia killing people who won't follow their beliefs give me the creeps. Unfortunately, that is happening in other countries.

I'm against all violence in video games, but I see the rational behind having a Christian video game.

Well, I don't want to hear anyone who would buy this game for their kids say anything bad about any other video game again.
