Do you think passage of the Democrats resolution to stop a troop increase to Iraq will help or harm our mission in Iraq?

It will do irreparable harm to the war effort and will increase the dangers that our troops now face.

A resolution of this type will only serve to show our enemies that that nations' will to win has dissolved, and will encourage them to step up activities against our troops in Iraq - that means more car bombs, more suicide bombers, more innocent civilians getting killed, and more US troops getting killed. I find it hard to believe that our politicians can be so utterly stupid as to NOT see this...I believe that they DO see it, but after all, we're coming up on an election year, and what better way to get elected than to throw rocks at a target that can't throw them back? The Democraps (and no, I didn't misspell the word) would rather forget that they voted FOR the war three years ago and now say that they're against it so they can villify a President who can't run against them, rather than to stand up and say, "We need to finish what we started, and we need to do it right!"

Our politicians are blind to the undeniable fact that the only way to fight terrorists is with undeniable, unending, irrepressible, and unstoppable deadly force. The ONLY way to win against them is to kill them all - wipe them out from the face of the earth. You WILL NOT win any other way. Our enemies in Iraq and Iran know that our politicians will not do this, because they'd rather win an election than win a war, and you can bet next month's paycheck that our enemies will use this against us.

Count on more deaths in Iraq, and instead of blaming Bush, blame the Democraps who are encouraging our enemies to step up their actions against us.

I think it will have absolutely ZERO effect on the mission in Iraq....

All this is, is a message to the President that they do not approve of his handling of the war. The Democrats know that this is a winning issue for them because the majority of Americans dont approve of the President's handling of the war.....

Even the military brass has said that a resolution would not affect either morale or ....undermine the effort........

Having said that.....I am not sure what the mission is at this point......the "mission" and its rationale have changed so many times, I cannot keep it straight.....

Any voices of dissent against the putting of our soldiers into harm's way needlessly, is just fine.

If we stop the war in Iraq, we are screwed and so are the people of Iraq. Our word of up holding law and simple freedoms will be lost. We are fighting the war there so we are not fighting it on our own ground the United States. All the terrorism is being diverted for now to Iraq. They tarriest have a much better chance of fulfilling there tarriest deeds being seen and heard over there. Media is everywhere. They seem to think it shows us as weak with on the contrary we planned it this way. To pull out now and not finish what we have said, will be a disaster in of itself. WE must stay and win the freedoms for Iraq it says it is so in the Muslim bible so let it go it is written.

Whatever "mission" Mr. Bush had in Iraq has failed miserably and is dead in the water. It was all in his mind in the first place.

We have lost enough soldiers. Iraq has lost enough men, women and children - all at the hands of Mr. Bush. Sending more troops is not the answer - that situation is "unwinnable"... We need to bring our young people home..there is nothing we can do to prevent the carnage that is coming - not only in Iraq but the whole middle East. That will be Mr. Bushes legacy, and our shame.

This war will go down as of one of America's greatest disasters. As we all know, our government did not plan for actions after " shock and awe".. If we withdraw, Iran and Syria will have a field day supplying weapons to fuel the civil war. They will undoubtedly place someone in charge who could possibly be just as bad as Saddam. If that happens, you can imagine that Saudia Arabia will be shaking in their boots without the Americans in the region. And we would need to protect the Saudis. If we stay, this could rage on for ten more years. Some of our troops are on their third deployments. How much more can we possibly expect from a volunteer army... and this country will never approve a draft again. We are in a no win situation regardless which party takes the next election.

It will help the American peoples' mission to stop the war on Iraq.

If we fight a war and win it with H-bombs, what history will remember is not the ideals we were fighting for but the methods we used to accomplish them. These methods will be compared to the warfare of Genghis Khan who ruthlessly killed every last inhabitant of Persia.
