"He" being my ex, but as I mentioned in a previous question, he recently sent me a Valentines Day card where he signed it "lots of love" and the card itself (what was printed on it by the card company) read "Happy Valentines Day with Love." He also said in the card that he would be thinking about me on Valentines Day and misses me "loads." This is more than he ever did when we were dating (we broke up 7 months ago. I'm in America and he's in Ireland).
First of all, how can you "not know" what love means? And what's he trying to do to me now? BAH!

Although he never said "I love you" I always felt like he did. It was in the way he always made me feel special/important and he would always walk with his arm around me down the street. I could tell he was proud to be with me...but my thing was that I needed to HEAR the words from his mouth and I needed more of a commitment from him, you know?

Um...I think people are misunderstanding. HE was the one who didn't know what love means, not me. I told him I loved him several times, to which he would say "Aw, Babe..." Once I did manage to make him cry by saying it though.

There has never been a clear cut definition of "Love." It is a feeling and feelings can neither be accurately defined by the written word nor be equal in both parties. What I mean by that is you cannot know exactly what love means to anyone else except for yourself because it is a feeling not a physical object. Perhaps he was trying to tell you that you do not understand how he loves you, and guess what: That's his fault! Actions always speak louder than words, so he needs to get his butt on a plane and come see you if it means that much to him.
As for the "love" comments on the card, sometimes it takes a lifetime to get over someone and great distances sometimes make it worse. He could be just lonely and distanced from the people around him. He should get out more. :)

Maybe he still feels for you but that does not mean that he loves you. It was just a card. Alot of people sign cards like that and get cards that say that. he may feel that you don't know what love is. If you guys broke up 7 months ago and are in totally different country's than maybe it is time to move on with your life.

He's just playing around, obviously. Don't get hooked up on such sweet lines cause even though artists used lies to tell the truth, it's the opposite for people. They used lies to lie for real. And everybody knows what love means. You're an alien if you don't know what it means cause even animals know how to define the freakin word.

probably u did not show him any love when u guys were together, now that he realizes how much he needs somebody in his life and he might still care about u and just wanted to send the message that he still loves u.
