I just went through this in December when my Aussie got out the side gate:

Call all of the shelters, animal control agencies, vets and police departments in your area.

Organize a search party and go out looking for the dog - We had 8 people driving around looking for mine at one point.

Make fliers with the dogs picture on them and post them within a 10 mile radius of where the dog disappeared from. Post them at local grocery stores and pet stores on their community boards. Offer a reward on the sign, but don't say how much (Pre-determine it in your mind).

1. Call the local animal control/police (NOT 911) to let them know your dog is lost. That way, if anyone calls them to turn the dog in, they can connect you.
2. Call local shelters and rescue groups - same reason as above.
3. Post flyers near where he was last seen. Use a photo on the flyer, if possible. Keep the verbage simple -- Lost Dog. Reward. [Name, breed, colors.] Your phone number. Last date/location seen.

Awww! i'm sorry. there is possibly a lady canines in warmth some the position interior of sight, besides the undeniable fact that it may well be a mile or 2 away too. canines have outstanding noses and in accordance to his breed and age he will be lengthy gone for weeks even months. I had a canines that ran away, he grow to be lengthy gone for months, i concept him useless or lost, yet after about six months he got here again!! He grow to be all torn up and nil.5 starved yet he got here again. canines nonetheless have primal instincts they nonetheless have that wild in them, maximum canines can take care of themselves, yet some basically starve at the same time as lost. go searching your community, ask people in the adventure that they have got seen him, submit posters including his description and a spread to call. examine the canines pounds round your city. go away his widespread deal without for him, yet do not get your hopes up if the deal with is lengthy gone different animals like treats too. He would come back, he more beneficial than in all probability knows how, yet nonetheless he would not in any respect go back. from time to time canines run away they wander away and discover yet another domicile, from time to time they get killed. it is gloomy besides the undeniable fact that it is reality. If he does come back, perhaps you need to get him fastened so he gained't have the urge to run off after a lady, it oftentimes cost decrease than 2 hundred money. some Vets will do it for more low priced in case you tell them you're troublesome up for money. in case you are able to not get him fastened get a lengthy chain to keep him on once you're lengthy gone or asleep. solid success!

I am not trying to be rude but I have a Chihuahua too and I would never leave her unsupervised outside. They are small animals and they are prone to getting hit by a car because drivers cannot see them that well. People that leave their dogs outside in an open area do not deserve to have a dog at all. I hope you find him but be more careful about where you leave your dog. P.S.Chihuahua is not spelled Chuawahah.

search around the block chances are he didn't leave the block yet
you can also try to get him back by putting some of his favorite food outside, (remember that there are other animals out there 2 so keep it out of reach of the other animals
also put up flyers around your neighborhood
and check with the police and the local pound to see if anyone reported a dog

GOOD LUCK:)

Well then get off the computer and call animal control and tell them all about him with a complete discription, put a very accurate discription of him in the paper and get on the computer long enough to make up a lot of lost posters with a color picture of him and his name. I hope you can find him.

Put on some outerwear and go look for him. Start knocking on doors with a picture of him. Call the pound...get going!!!!

ADDED: I just looked up some of your questions and apparently you lost a dog 4 months ago too. QUIT WASTING EVERY BODY'S TIME!!! Try asking new questions.

Sorry to be rude, but you should turn off the computer and go outside to look for him and to post little flyers that say "Lost dog."
