that through God, all things are possible! He is a loving God, Some of you may not agree b/c man has made Him out to be zealous, cruel, and vengful. That is not God's nature, He is all loving, and through Him ALL things are possible, even that which seems impossible

Well said.

I found it hard to fathom people hardening their hearts to receiving the word, but it's indeed happening. Sad. We can only pray for them. Another thing is that while God is working, satan is working also.
Remember God's words to satan in Gen:3:14-15 mentioning the children of God and the children of satan battling, and Jesus coming. Guess satan's kids are working harder and harder, because they know their day is coming. All the more reason for you and I to work harder.

Females are this way, honey, not males.
And when we can worship in both genders as the higher spiritual levels of some religions, then we will come a little closer to the Taoist view and the Buddhist view that all comes from the one source, and that there is no name or consciousness to that at all.
God may be, but even god is only a manifestation of the Possibilities.

Because it's not understandable when you think about it rationally

And if he's so loving, why does he demand the deaths of gays, and disobedient teenagers

And if he's so all powerful, why won't he heal amputees through medical miracles. And why does he allow the amount of suffering to be vastly disproportionate to the amount of care in the name of free will.

And how come science has proved the universe wasn't made in 6 days, as previously thought. And that it isn't only 6100 years old.

Exodus 35:2: God demands we kill everyone who works on the sabbath day.

Deuteronomy 21: 18-21: God demands we kill disobedient teenagers.

Levicticus 20:13: God demands the death of homosexuals.

Deuteronomy 22:13-21: God demands we kill girls who are not virgins when they marry.

OK - I am sorry but I seem to be in the frame of mind today to take peoples questions to the extreme

This means that Gay marriage is possible - and that through God homosexual sex could be fine because God is love and this is love?

God could have chosen to make the world with a big bang and evolution even though to the (some) human brain this seems contradictory?

God in all his love may want people to be diverse and follow different spiritual paths as he loves us all and wants to treat us as the individuals we are that he created?

There are other things i could say but I think that's enough for now. If you say I am interpreting this incorrectly I am sorry but than are you aren't diminishing the greatness that is god by constraining him into a human ideal?

All, things may be possible, but since God said there were certain things that were not ever going to happen, I dont know why people think they know better, or that God "changed his mind"..

After reading all that has been written, and after thinking all that can be thought, on the topics of God and the soul, the man who has a right to say that he thinks at all, will find himself face to face with the conclusion that, on these topics, the most profound thought is that which can be the least easily distinguished from the most superficial sentiment.

It is so hard to understand because your god has only shown himself to a few hundred people in the history of the world. So instead of opening up the heavens and saying here I am obey my will. He decided to only talk to a few people. Leaving billions of others without a clue.

Because he is a vengeful god as told in the Bible.

Your question is meaningless.

I suppose THAT'S why it's so hard to understand. Sentimental gushing doesn't give the intellect anything to grasp onto.

"With God all things are possible." Ergo, God hates amputees, etc. We're back to the question of why a beneficient, omnipotent God allows us to experience pain and suffering. "That's not God's fault - it's man's." Well, then why did God create man with faults? "Satan tempted man and he fell from grace." Why did God create Satan? The game goes on...

Its people like you that make me feel sick with anger and disbelief because of your outlook on the world. What you think god is gonna stop my friends mum taking drugs and look after her the right way and show love and provide food, no he is not. He is gonna kill her slowly and let the young girl watch and grow up 20xs faster than she really has to. There is no such thing as "through god all things are possible",. Stop spitting cr*p.

It is a comfort to believe there is a higher power than the power of mankind yeah, so you beleive that at the end of the day "he who done wrong will go to hell, he who has done good will go heaven", but to beleive god will change things for you if you ask him to is a joke love. WAKE UP.

why is it so hard to understand ...

that God is a myth and that Heaven and Hell are fairy tales made up by people whose understanding of the universe was that the Earth was at the center and the stars were little lanterns just out of reach?

C'mon. Time to grow up!
