Ok, my adult male Ocicat has been behaving strangely lately. He's been acting like he's a kitten, running around all day, picking fights with our other male cat, throwing up everywhere, and has become pretty fond of boxes. So is their anything wrong or is he normal???

The only thing you mention that would concern me would be the throwing up.
To be on the safe side I'd take him to the Vet.

Well, only YOU know what he was like before he started behaving like this. I would get him to my vet, if I were you--it's the vomiting thing. Is this a cat who is allowed to go outdoors? If so, he could have gotten into some rat poison or other poisonous material that could be causing the vomiting and making him act like he's crazy--if he's never done any of this stuff before.

For the most part, all of this other playing behavior sounds normal---unless it is NOT normal for THIS CAT, and only you know this. But, DO have him checked out by your vet for the possibility of poisoning if there is the slightest chance he may have gotten into something, and that includes killing a mouse who may have gotten a dose of D-con--it will get into your cat's system. Good luck with this guy--hope everything is OK.

I guess that depends on what your cat's behavior was like previous to this episode. To a certain extent all cats are different, so it would be hard to say if his behavior is normal. As for the vomiting, I would definately take him to a vet find out why, it could be something he ate, but it's good to eliminate the possibilty of a more serious issue.

hes probably just fine. Just been getting a burst of energy. I have a 7 y/o male cat that runs around at night time with my 2 kittens and they play fight. but the throwing up doesnt sound to goo, so you should take him to the vet for that

well, i dont know about the throwing up part...is it a hairball? if so, you need to brush the extra hair so that when he grooms himself, he doesnt swallow too much hair..

everything else seems normal though:

-cats like to "fight" but its usually just playing
-they like to run around once and a while, and stretch out their legs.
-and my cat loves boxes so i think thats normal too

ask the vet or something if you're really concerned

I would have him checked by the vet. A possible thyroid disorder comes to mind, but its best for a good vet to look at the cat.
