Never buy a puppy from any third party source. The kind of breeder who would sell their puppies without knowing where they will end up is not the type to care about health or welfare of their dogs.
If you are in the Uk, contact the breed clubs listed at the bottom of the link below. They will be able to tell you if there are any puppies around.

That's a GOOD thing! The last place you should ever get one is from a Pet Shop! They sell poor quality puppies from Puppy-Mills and you'll over-pay to all extremes!
Try doing a search for "Chihuahua Breeders " or "Chihuahua Rescue " - Make sure you check them out and make sure they're reputable by paying them a visit, checking the lines of the puppy and calling references (A good breeder will be happy to provide them).
NEVER buy a puppy online sight unseen - There are tons of scams running where you send the $ and never see the puppy. Also, you can see all the pictures and copies of their paperwork, but there is no guarantee that they're from the puppy you get.

Chech puppyfinder.com, but don't ever consider buying a pup from a pet store, you will be supporting puppy mills by doing that. No breeder who actually cares will send a pup to sit in a small confined area sitting in it's own urine and feces. Find a good reputable breeder who can provide references. You can also check the AKC website for breeder info.

Thank God you can't get one at the pet shop... those are the worst places to get a puppy. They come from puppy mills who keep them in horrible conditions! NEVER buy from a pet shop!
Best places to look are petfinder.com and also going to the akc.org site to check for breeder referrals. The akc site will have a link to the parent club and that site will give you breeders to research.

look in your local paper, or search the web, particularly use the Kennel Club web site, or look for the web site of a local chihuahua club.
