The bible does not explicitly state this. Young Earth Creationists state this. They interpret the creation account of Genesis as historically accurate, factually correct, and in most cases, strictly inerrant. Analogously, those Muslims who might be described as YECs regard the account of creation in the Qur'an in the same way.
The defining characteristic of this belief is that the Earth is "young", on the order of 6,000 to 10,000 years old, rather than the age of 4.5 billion years estimated by a variety of scientific methods including radiometric dating. Some YECs derive their range of figures using the ages given in the genealogies and other dates in the Bible, similar to the process used by James Ussher (1581–1656), Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of Ireland, when he dated creation at 4004 BC.

No where in the Bible does it say that the earth is 6100 years old. What it does say and give though, is a genealogy of lifespans and generations starting from Adam. I believe God provided this information so that we would have an idea as to the age of the earth. Some people think to read through the generations is boring, but actually, it is key in answering questions like yours. Take a second look! Have a great day! :)

Christians who've concluded this used the Bible's extensive genealogies to calculate the age of the earth. There are several problems with this:
1) This assumes the word "day" in the Genesis creation account is a literal 24-hour day. Yet, the Bible tells us "that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." (2 Peter 3:8b). If each Biblical "day" is actually a thousand years, these folks are off by several thousand years.
2) In general, Biblical genealogies do not list each and every father. A prime example is the Luke 3:23-38 genealogy of Jesus, which goes all the way up to God. Because of this, it's really impossible to know ALL of the fathers in a particular line. If you don't know all in the line, how can you accurately count generations back to the beginning of humankind?

It is not too tricky to do the math. It takes some time. Surely you could find a book where someone has done this. Yes you can come to about that answer, but no it doesn't say in Scripture how old the earth was when the Messiah was born. (It doesn't make it real easy, but it is possible)

It doesn't say in so many words; but in theory if you add up the ages of the various patriarchs and other references you can make an educated guess. Certain other assumptions, such as the date of the Exodus, have to be made as well.

Being unequally yoked does no longer provide up with marriage only. i've got self assurance this additionally incorporates being in close relationships with God haters and unbelieving reprobates. Jesus additionally says that when you have shared the gospel with an unbeliever and he/she rejects God's certainty, we are to have no longer something greater to do with them. as quickly as we've shared Jesus' sacrifice for all sins and that's rejected, then turn them over to the Holy Spirit to handle them.

It doesn't say anything about any time. There is no timeline from the bible as to how old the world is.

It doesn't actually give us a date. It's said to be roughly 6000 years old because of the manuscripts and of all that we know of recorded human history.
Doesn't matter how young the earth is anyway....God is eternal.
