I have a co-worker who passes gas constantly and knows how to clear out a room. She also picks her nose and eats it. At times she will drool on the keyboard and loves to sing Meatloaf songs out loud. My boss is aware of these problems but she too is a big Meatloaf fan and they are close because of it. The only other one who appreciates her qualities is the janitor. Enough said. What can I do?

I send out my deepest apologies to Exiletheking and anyone else who failed out of school and life. I like janitors, cab drivers, and that fry guy down at the BK Lounge in town. I'm just glad to not be them.

The next time princess squeek-one-off decides to share her gas with you, tell her, "i'm not sure if you know this, but the sound and smell is really foul. you should really see a doctor." i had sir fartsalot sit next to me at my old job and if you don't say anything, she'll just keep doing it.
Picking her nose and eating it - if you see her do it, call her on it. that's friggin' disgusting!!!!
If you have an HR department, go to them. That's why they get paid, to deal with folks like this person.
Lastly, count yourself as lucky that you are not involved with this dreamboat.

Use earphones with an I-Pod with your favorite tunes to block out Meatloaf. Get some of those gel air fresheners to put near your desk. Buy a can of Oust air freshener and spray whenever this person is near you.
Write a letter to you boss's supervisor explaining how her interruptions effect the job productivity in the office. Either ignore her or look for a new job.

Well, obviously if your boss likes her, then you are doomed. Just do your best to ignore and don't make any comments about the gas fumes or the nose picking. Be thankful she does not smell of body odor on top of all of this. If you are able, get an mp3 player to block out the Meatloaf songs and do your best to ignore her. The only other option is another job. Good luck to you!

When she starts up the Meatloaf you can respond by blasting some Barry Manilow or Clay Aiken. I know that may be painful to listen to, but she may get the message. As far as the farting, either you can rip a big one in her cubicle (make sure it is loud so she knows), or you can spray Fabreeze on her as she walks by. However, my best suggestion is just to talk to her in private about it in a tactful manner.

You are lucky that she eats it man, i had a colleague that used to stick it to furniture or on keyboard or elevator buttons or even throw it on others.
REJOICE, I GOT RID OF HIM ALTHOUGH THE BOSS USED TO LIKE HIM TOO.

Why is it enough said that the janitor likes her? Do you think you are better than someone just because they have a position "lower" than yours? The janitor at the building I work in is a really nice man, and he is in such a good mood all the time. It brightens my day when I see him. Why do you feel like you can talk about others as if you are better than them?

Other than get another job? Get a can of Febreeze air effects, earplugs or mp3 player, and shades so you don't have to see her disgusting face. When your boss complains about the mp3 or earplugs, tell her when she stops your co-worker from distracting you, then you will be able to let those go....................Ooooh, I feel sorry for you!

I am assuming you work near her? If so request from your boss a move as you need a more quiet environment in order to be productive.
