I spoke to my dead uncle last year, he was in the coffin, but didn't reply. I told him that I was sorry that he left behind his family, especially his 3 kids who are still devistated today. Hopefully God is giving him some great reasons for it, because his kids are suffering tremendously, and one of them has turned to drugs to ignore the pain. WTG God

When a person dies he or she ceases to exist. Death is the opposite of life. the dead do not see or hear or think. Not even one part of us survives the death of the body. We do not possess an immortal soul or spirit. When Adam was created he only had a body form, and after that Jehovah but life into him.
(Genesis 2:7)
And Jehovah God proceeded to form the man out of dust from the ground and to blow into his nostrills the breath of life, and the man came to be a living soul.
Adam wasn't aware of anything until Jehovah gave him life.
(Psalms 146:4)
When a man dies, "his thoughts do perish."
The dead can't neither love nor hate and that "there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in the (GRAVE).
(Ecclesiastes 9:5)
For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead they are conscious of nothing.

You can talk to anything but does not mean it hears you or can talk back. If you choose to believe your maker, you find many places in the bible that says when you die, you have no more to do with the living, you are sleeping in the grave, your hatred, love, envy, etc., all die with you and the time you will know anything again is when Jesus comes back for His people. read in Eccl. 9:5, the dead know nothing. I would challenge anyone to show me even one scripture that says you go to Heaven when you die or that your spirit lives on and is immortal. I would reward that person with $10,000 cash money today. No such thing exists in the bible if you will search it out.

I think you have to define "dead".
Those who have passed on, but were believers, are not dead. They are "alive in Christ".
So, while you can talk to the dead, you are talking to thin air. However if you are talking to a fellow Christian, it matters not if they are here on earth or in Heaven with God.

You can talk to the dead but they won't answer because they're dead.
People who have died no longer exist as conscious beings - their consciousness resides in a physical pattern and when its gone they're no more.
Its harsh but accepting the truth - things like santa doesnt really bring you presents - is part of growing up.

Only in a delusional sense. You can talk but the dead can't listen.

The dead know nothing, they are in the grave awaiting the resurrection.

Yes we can talk to the "dead" because they aren't really dead. Only the body dies...not our spirits.
