Let the Fans voice their opinion of What They want racing to be, not have Nascar decide what They think we want racing to be.
Let your voices be heard !! It is your sport you will be helping to shape..

Nascar admits that everything that they do is to preserve their sponsors. Hopefully these sponsors will realize that Nascar has driven the FAN from the sport. Racing was all about which TEAM was the best at what they do. They raced each other with what they had and were always (and still are) on the lookout for ways to get an edge on the competition. Unfortunately, the sport is going the way of the rest of the country!! Can you imagine trying to colonize the country with the restrictions (laws) that are in place today??? The parents of every Westbound Prairie Schooner would be arrested for child abuse. To say nothing of the tickets for reckless driving!!

Would you also advocate that football teams, baseball teams, golf professionals, extreme sports atheletes, etc. etc. ad naseum should also write there own rules? What would be the point in professional sports then. Why not just play in your yard and at parks where the fans could truly rule there own sports with absolute authority?

NASCAR as a sanction body acts in the same way all other sports sactioning bodies work, they set the standards for all the players so that an outcome that is fair can be derived from there activity.

If you truly dislike the idea of orginized spectator sports, may I suggest the local sporting goods store where you will find all the equipment needed to start your own backyard league (but skip the rulebook, you wouldn't want to be a hypocrit!)

Well if you don't like it then start another leauge. You could start one that is an anarchy and is ruled by the fans. NASCAR is a private business, they have to do what they think is best, whether that is supporting sponsors or not. It is my hope that their decisions are for the safety of our boys. Really I think if the fans had all the say it would be utter Chaos. If you don't like what is happening, send them a letter, if they get enough letters, maybe they will look at changing somethings.

You make a good point. There is alot of racing venues out there and due to the success of nascar - and their marketing techniques, they (nascar) dominate the American market.

I am afraid my voice will make no difference, but I will state this.
If a team wants to lower or raise a shock absorber, change the angle of the rear foil, for their advantage - it SHOULD be allowed.
This is what drives inventions and innovations. Thusly increasing the flow of technology.
Nascar is tooooooo tooooo restrictive -
And get rid of those ristrictor plates - And only one tire company heh what a krock - bring back Hoosier and Firestone.
Let the teams pick their tires engines parts carbs or fuel injection etc....
imho....

that's why the drivers will never have a union or anything like that, because once a few of them were going to strike and they just went ahead and raced anyway. it's their way or no way.

You need rules. The only problem is NASCAR rules are more gray than black and white. So depending on who you are and how they feel ,you might get off easy or you could get the shaft.
