What are some good ways to romance a friend?

I sent a longtime friend a friendship/flirty ecard for V-day, and based on her reaction, she REALLY loved it!! She knows I like her, but we do not have anything going on because neither of us feels ready. How can I romance her slowly and build up to a date? I want to take things slowly and get to know her. I may marry her!

If this doesn't sound like my situation. Well, what I did was brought up the past. Me and my dude were stationed at another base together but we were just friends there, nothing ever happened. When we got here, I realized that I no longer wanted to be friends with him. I wanted more. Alot more. So I decided to fish around and see how he felt from our last base. Come to find out, our feelings are very mutual. Think of the times in the past that you may have spent together and do little things to remind her of them. Make sure they're good memories. She will think it's very sweet that you still remember the little things. I'm a big sucker for things like that. That will romance her for sure. Once, you see it's working, take it up a notch and she should be all yours.
