Going there for a show tonight - don't want to have to park twice or walk far - it's supposed to be cold and windy.

The Flattop is at Southport and Belmont, and so it is not that close.

Pizza Capri is a decent Italian place (not just pizza) and is just a block away on Belmont. Also, on Belmont there is a COSI and a Chipotle. Both sell alchohol.
There are a few storefront places on Belmont between Sheffield and Clark, and a diner on Belmont next to the L stop.

Leona's is just across the street up Sheffield. I LOVE this place. It's a local, smallish chain restaurant with a handful of locations around Chicagoland. I moved away from the City but every time I come back I go back to Leona's for delicious food.

Good luck.

Oooh. I forgot. There's a Clarke's right past the "L" on Belmont. I think they're open 24 hours, too, and have good food.

if you are looking for american/italian sitdown definately recommend leona's.. or if you are in the mood for deep dish pizza, giordano's is just down belmont one block from the vic. unless you get street parking, they have you park at roscoe and sheffield for paid parking, and right there you can find Penny's Noodles if you like thai, its really great and really cheap. Also Johnny O'Hagans has pretty good food and great drinks. Its an Irish pub. If you just walk to clark and look up and down the street you can find chinese, jimmy john's, and a load of bars.
