Sweetness! I want to cry for the pain you are enduring in this terrible relationship. This man has you imprisoned with a child and forever "waiting" for him. If you do not get out of this relationship then in ten years you will look back and kick yourself as at 27 you are in your prime and he at 42 is fading fast. If he did not even get you a Valentine Card then he is not worth anything, not even your tears! Get out and start dating, arrange for a family member to take your child while you go out with friends, join some clubs, go to church, whatever, just start meeting people - You will only be able to rid yourself of this pain and find happiness when you meet someone new and respects and appreciates your good heart and the love you have to give. Keep your chin up, you are young and beautiful and deserve so much better. Just take a deep breath, get yourself a note book to document your progress and go forward to a wonderful future with someone who will NEVER forget you on Valentines Day!! Love Jayda

Well that's pretty lame. If he knows you are into celebrating this and you believe that he goes out of his way to hurt you then by all means kick him out. You aren't asking for much and you don't deserve to be treated like your feelings are nothing. What's with the ex? Why is she allowed to cause so much trouble? She needs a good kick also. Lot of nerve! If there was ever a time for you to take a stand it's high time that you do it now. Five years of your life has gone into this relationship. You have the right to know the truth about what is on his mind and he sure needs to tell you.
How's it going raising this child? Is there a good example being set? There is a lot of resentment building up in you. Get to the bottom of this before you explode. Ask yourself. Would you be better off with him or not? Get these issues settled so you have a clue as to how to proceed with your life.

Just love him and support him.
The truth is, the ex-wife probably gives him more headache than you can imagine.
Since you both have a child together, it's more complicated that him not wanting to spend time or be with you. You've been together 5 years, so obviously he has more invested with you than you give him credit for.
Forgive him and tell him how you feel about that V-Day. Give him the opportunity to make it up for you. If he does right by you 364 days of the year, then 1 day will not negate all the good things.
Remember, "You can't give the mind what it can't digest"..
One love............

Maybe he doesn't see valentines day the same way as you do. For many it is just commercialisation. Maybe he has a surprise coming that, for some reason, he couldn't give you on Valentines day itself.
How do you know he is purposely trying to hurt you? Seems a bit harsh for just not buying you a card.

Ok, this is a very truthful answer.
What did YOU give him for valentine? Why should it be you to receive only?
Valentine day is the for lovers, to show appreciation of one each other. What did YOU give him?
Probably got tired of giving it year after year.
Its two ways traffic, my dear.
All the best!/

Just because you look at Valentine's Day as special does not mean that he does...and he may have a bunch of other things on his mind and just forgot. Next year start reminding him about a week before Valentine's Day that it is coming and that you are excited about it...he may catch on.

I wouldn't get you a card anyway. Cards, flowers and chocolates on VD is just corporate BS.
What you should've got was a big VD kiss and cuddle and maybe a poem he composed.
Ex wives are like taxes, they never go way.

the ex won't go away because he is holding on and if he were your man for 5 years, he'd make some special effort , if only a card. move on girl, make yourself happy and be a treasure to yourself and your child. good luck, god bless

Forgeting to give you something on valentines day should not be a ground for separation. You can return the favor to him next time.

Bolt sweetheart.....Pack your stuff and leave. Forget to leave him a nice card explaining your absence, maybe he will get the clue. He's old enough to know how treat someone and your too young to think that that is the way things have to be. Leave while you still have it in your heart to do so.
