Sometimes God answers our prayers in a different way than we expected. If it is meant to be it will be. Have faith.

We dont know the ways of GOD.His ways are a bit different and a bit difficult even then if we follow it,our reward is just unimaginable. And sometimes when we sacrifice most of the things for him he'll bless us doublefold.
In ur case just pray to GOD,it'll take time but if it's the will of GOD u'll get him 1001% for sure. But remember whenever u pray dont be stubborn and say lord i dont want any other i want this one only then the prayer is not answered bcoz GOD doesnt listen to such prayers.Instead ask unto him with full humbleness and say "lord i humble myself bfor u and ask one favour to u o lord.let ur will be done and not mine.If u have chosen this boy as my life partner let it b fulfilled in my life.".And b patient, when it's time u willll get it.
But if it's not the will of god then forget him and god will provide u the best partner u can ever imagine for u bcoz he's the best matchmaker.
Neways i'll keep u in my prayers.
GOD BLESS U.

If wishes were horses , beggers would ride .Prayer is imploring with God to grant something that a man wishes intensely. Prayer is also done with the firm belief that god would answer the prayer .but in practice it is not happening .Recent researh in some American university has revealed that prayer does not heal anythng or bgeget anything. All men pray to God for something that they intenetly desire for and evey one prays for success in life and comfort in life , health in life and life withut death. But hardly prayer alone brings anythig that man prays for .the hope that ?god would help one atain something by prayer gie the individusl some solace . -a mentalconditon that enables him to forget the pain of not having something tha eh paryed for .Because prayer does not fech anythng , the belivers themselves have invented a slogan that god helps those who help themselvbes .When people help themselves , whre is the god helping them.? Evey one prays to god imploring god's help .The theif prays befor the go about steeling and housebreaking .the murderer also prays. it looks that the butcher and the goat pray and he butcher kills he goat and makes money.and the goat dies .The lion and the deer both pray .the lion kills the deer and the deer dies. if the deer runs away before the lion could see it , the deers saves its life .but instead it spend its time in praying , it would be digested by the lion.Prayer will fetch nothing and pysical effort will do .the crop sin your field won't grow if you spend your time in praying . If you work in the field instead of spending you time in the church ,the crops will grow well and you will harvest a good crop.pryer will not fetch you what you want .but real ans sincere and proper work will enable you you to get what you want .If your lover also loves you so much as you do , your love will succeed.Whatever is not possible for the gods to grant or do , proper effort will give success to aone who works hard. so be patient and firm if the person you love deserves your love , if he also loving you so much he would be prepared to wait for thewhole life for you.See the what the love is in reality.that is if it is physical or platonic .Whether it is lust or love .

Let me tell yo ua story here. there was this old woman in a village who worshipped the almighty all her life. One day her village was flodded. A team came up for rescue in a boat. She denied to go with the team saying that she has faith in the almighty and the flood would recede. later another team arrived in a motor boat. She did the same thing. The water level was still rising. A helicopter arrived to her aid. She did the same thing. finally the water level rose above the danger mark. She died.
Later on, in the heavens, she complained the almighty about her death. She said, " Whole my life I worshipped you, I trusted you. Why didn't you save my life?" to which the almighty calmly replied, "Lady! I did send you help. But you refused to accept it.I sent the team with a boat, then the team with a motor boat and finally the helicopter. How can I help it if you keep denying?"
So the moral here is that just praying doesn't help. You gotta keep your eyes open to grab the opportunities. Act wisely. meet his parents. Be good to them. Prove that you are the best suit for that family. I am sure they would accept...

Prayer is a powerful thing, but you must have faith. First off too many people pray when they WANT something from God. True prayer is also praising God for what He has done and what we already have. God always answers your prayers, it may not be the answer you were wanting, and He does it on His time, not yours. Keep your faith and live the life God wants you to and by His means, not the world's and not your 'lover'.

There's a joke my parents told me that explains how I grew up thinking about the power of prayer:
This guy wanted to win the lottery and prayed every night for it. He checked the numbers when they came out and he hadn't won.
So he started attending church every day and praying morning, noon and night to win the lottery. And he checked the numbers. He hadn't won.
So he put himself into a religious retreat. He fasted all week and prayed all day. He woke at midnight, 3 am, 5 am... to add special prayers. He checked the numbers. He hadn't won.
In desperation he cried to God, "God, I've prayed and prayed! Why won't you make me win the lottery!"
God replied, "Buddy, you've got to buy a ticket first."
There's an old saying that God helps those who help themselves. All the prayer in the world won't help if you don't get out there in life and do the things it takes to make the effects of that prayer possible.
So look out there and define the problems that are blocking your love. If the problems are not things that are morally objectionable then use your prayer time to find the path God has set to overcome the problems. Then do your part and get out there and follow that path.

Maybe, maybe not.
it depends on why, what, how, where, and when.
Garth Brooks wrote a song several years back "Thanks God for Unanswered Prayers" where he prayed for his high school sweetheart and that prayer was never answered. He found another girl, whom he married and was very, very happy. He then runs into the old girlfriend and is happy that God never answered his prayer to bring her back.
God knows what your needs are. Praying from the heart helps but praying for the right reasons is very important. But God works in mysterious ways.

Through God all things are possible - now that doesn't mean you can do whatever the heck you want. It means if it is to be (meant to be) it is possible to do and you can do it. Keep praying and be patient. Also talk to a church leader(s) that can discuss this with you. Maybe you can get counceling for you both?!
Good luck and don't lose faith :)

I try to be very specific when I pray. For instance, in a situation similar to the one you mention, I'd ask for family members to better understand one another, to be more patient, to find a common ground to work from. I ask for them to be blessed with clarity of mind to understand the issues involved. I ask God to guide me to keep my own place in the situation, whether it's an active part or just to be supportive.
The answer is YES! Don't lose your faith-you need it more at the rough times than ever!

Well, the old adage goes, "God works in mysterious ways." No one can be certain if God will answer his/her prayers according to their will. If you believe in an all-powerful God he does things according to his will, action or no action. Instead of asking God for marriage, ask Him for strength to handle your affairs. Thank him for your days on Earth and ask him to help you find peace while handling your struggles. Look up the Serenity Prayer online. It's easy to find. You will get a lot out of it. Good luck!
