Although hot water sterilizes over 50% of the present germs on surface, it is still possible to contract hiv from a shared needle. The virus is one of the most mutatable illnesses in modern times, so it can remain active even if it has been 'cleaned'. If you are concerned, visit a doctor a few weeks after your initial exposure and get a HIV test done...and consider using your own needles, or reducing your drug use. good luck

YES! If you are using a needle for drugs, then, at least, find a clinic in your area that has a HARM program. It means that the clinic reduces the harm that is caused by such things as sharing needles. The clinic will GIVE you clean, unused needles to use to keep the virus and diseases down as much as possible. HIV needle sharing is really scary, and needle sharing of any kind will get you, sooner or later. Hep C is terribly contageous, as well, and you will contract THAT by sharing needles, too. Call clinics in your area and ask if they have a needle exchange program, or have the HARM projuct.

Yes, you can.
Why would you be so stupid as to share needles? Have you been living under a rock for the last 28 years?
Throw the needles away and get clean, you knucklehead.

I wouldn't worry if i were you about it having been a needle. if it was needle and you stepped on it like that you would have a tiny whole and also bleeding-since you can not see anything it could have been a bee- i stepped on one once and it really hurt for more then 5 minutes or it could have been a goathead sticker because stepping on those are seriously painful, however you probably would have known because had to pull it out it could have beena tiny red ant also because they sting--anyway dont worry about it having been a needle-

Yes you can. The only way to prevent it with shared needles is to have the needle sterilized and most people don't have access to that.

Yes, never reuse a needle under any circumstances. Better yet go into rehab.
