Start by using http://www.wine-searcher.com/ . This will tell you what shops are selling that wine for. Clicking on a link may bring you to a page that has additional descriptions and ratings.

You can also do a Google (or similar) search. Keep in mind that prices on wine lists are generally twice that of retail stores.

You can also come back here and ask a new question, including the name of the wine and what you want to know. Several of us have wine books and wine site memberships that we can look the wine up for you and post the results. Just be sure to choose a best answer.

Good luck to you and I hope this helps.

It seems like you need to start by talking to your father. What kind of wine does he like? There are so many different varietals of wine and every person has their own likes and dislikes.

If you want to buy your father a new wine he has never tasted, I'd ask at a local wine shop after finding out what his favorites types of wine are.

ask any friends to buy at the airport. cheap and you can get very good quality. Red wine is good for the health. Ask for the low level of alchohal. Years more than 15 is good wine and good for the health. French wine or Australian wine is better than others. take only one or two ounce perday is good. its my experience. myself and my sons are taken every sunday one or two ounce red wine for the health. its not a bad thing.
