i think that the english language is optional in examination. i mean to say that: hume hindi mein bhi exam dene key liye allow karna chaiye .for like (BBA,BCA,BScIT,MBA MCA etc).because hindi is our national language.if we wanat to develope HINDI language than it is necessary that the indianshould read and speak english. All languages have beautiful expressions of emotions. Their literature can be promoted.
BUT.. In these days of Globalization we should not lag behind any body, from any part of the world.
English is welcome or not: it is inevitable to carry on all businesses of this world! Studies, Understanding cultures etc.
We Indians have some how managed to learn whatever little english we could learn to carryon with our work. We should not let it go due to false and extreme fanatism for languages.
Whatever, we have learnt by good or bad experiences is our treasure now. Why to loose?.
English should be made compulsory for all schools whether hindi or any other, medium schools, so that children can get used to this language. OR else it will always be alien. Very difficult to learn english after some age.!

Education can be had in any language as long as you are comfortable with it. I did my High School through Hindi medium with Science subjects and then did engineering through English medium. There was initially some difficulty but in no time I adjusted to learning in English medium.The reality today is that English is spoken and understood in vast majority of countries. We Indians have this advantage and this is well proven by growth of IT industry and Indians excelling in it. So why lose this edge. Even Chinese have realised the importance of English and they are learning it fast and will give tough competition to us , particularly in IT related areas.

Are you trying to start another race war?!!! I know quite a few Indians who get really mad when anyone says that Hindi is the National Language. They really resent that! There are many millions - even hundreds of millions of Indians who do not speak Hindi. That's why English is necessary.

Even chinese are learning English whats wrong with u 70% of calls center's in world are located in india they all speak good English remember your from india not malaysia or china

English is indeed needed for higher education, especially if you want a chance someday to move out of India. I suggest you take English communication classes. It's important, and it'll serve as an advantage all your life.

ya english is important...coz now a days many indians r goin 2 career in other countries......but u r rite dat v hav 2 giv preference...2 hindi 1st.....
but by examin in hindi its not rite....
coz now a days all over d world english is dominant.....n v also hav 2 develop ur english..coz hindi is not international language.
