Will Evangelicals finally stop pretending to Love the sinner and hate the sin and admit they just plain hate. The message boards on many Evangelical Christian sites are applauding what he said and are themselves being quite 'honest' about how they really feel. I personally thank Mr. Hardaway for finally revealing the truth, so again I ask, will Evangelicals finally drop the pretense and just admit your lies?

Well mz, that was my point, now you know how feels. That said, I've seen some your opinions so you really can't be taken seriously on this issue.

I gave Angel a thumbs up, only because it was a simple, honest and respectful answer.

Paul, you are correct, that is why I asked this question, will they be just as honest now.

I think its amazing just how many of their preachers are homosexuals themselves. Teach sexual repression and look what you get. Not all evangelicals are the same, but you do have a point. Christians are supposed to love everybody - Jesus hung out with the so-called "riff raff" of his day - not the aristocracy. What I find kind of amazing is that although distasteful, Mr. Hardaway was HONEST about it. I don't like what he said, but I want him to say what he REALLY means without having pressure put on him by society to lie about what he really thinks. Otherwise, he's just being a hypocrite, and a liar.

The LTSHTS thing is theoretically possible, but is such a difficult balancing act that virtually no person alive is capable of it. I think the reality is that most Evengelicals basically hate people they regard as different from themselves, and religion is a pretext. To put it simply: Evangelicals hate weirdos and wish they would disappear.

One man's opinion does not speak for everyone. While I disagree with what he said, I appreciate the fact that he was honest. At least people know where he stands on a subject. I don't hate gays. I am sick of people saying they will go to Hell for sinning. I am a sinner. I know many heterosexuals that have sinned and continue to sin and I have never told them they are going to Hell. That is judging and can only be done by God.

May God Bless you.

I don't care what Mr. Hardaway an avowed Evangelical said, I am a Christian and I don't hate gays. I think they just like all of us need a Savior, no one is perfect, none.

Sooner or later, the truth comes out about their real feelings towards other people, and everybody can see the intolerance and bigotry for what it is. Loving the sinner also means recruiting people who will end up giving money to the church!

I believe in the bill of rights and all the guys really saying is I'm glad I'm not naked in a locker room in front of a gay guy and that he dosn't like gays. I don't raise hell because I have to hear about gay people all the time but I don't run around saying oh, I'm straight and pushing my beliefs on others who may or not be comfortable w/ it. Straight people should have rights too. Looks like we are a minority now! How can you say that about christianity anyway after reading Romans 1-26-27, 1 Timothy 1:10, and 2 Samuel 1:26.

I just want to chime in on Angel's answer......if you, and people like you, can be as vocal as the hateful crazies, we'd ALL be better off.

WELL SAID!

Now maybe the gays can see the truth about the Christians and start to get more aggressive against them.

We must all get aggressive to eliminate the scourge of Christianity (and all theistic religions) from the Earth.

I never bought the "love the sinner, hate the sin" mentality. It just doesn't work that way.
