The possible superstitions which may be developed from a theistic mindset are wide-ranging and well-explored; I thought that it might be an interesting exercise to find some superstitions specific to an atheistic mindset. Let me give examples:
1) There is no God. Now, atheists will try to dodge this by saying, "I don't believe there is no God, I just have no belief in God." However, not only will quick conversation reveal that they have a pronounced belief that there is no God, but cursory examination will reveal that the two statements are functionally identical.
2) Science will cure all of society's ills. This is the fallacy of scientism.
3) Predictive ability is the only valid criterion for a method of investigation. This is the excuse for pitting science as an adversary to religion, and finding religion therefore "valueless."

Superstitions are unjustified beliefs, not beliefs that offend you. Discuss or add to the list. No flames, please.

For those unfamiliar with scientism:

Clarification:
1 is an unjustified belief because it cannot be proven. In no definition of God (and please, PLEASE look up the definition of "God" vs. "god" in a dictionary; it's so tedious to re-explain it constantly with a dozen dictionaries online) is it stated that God must be detectable or measurable; therefore the statement that God does not exist is unjustified. By extension, the statement that God does exist is also unjustified.

2 is superstition at its purest. There is no reason to believe, given the history of human inquiry, that the scientific method(s) will not be replaced with a better method of investigation, let alone "cure all of society's ills." While individuals may have access to better health care, it is highly circumspect that society itself is any healthy since the introduction of the scientific method.

3 is a superstition because there are many forms of inquiry which do not rely on predictive ability at all, and yet have value. There is no predictive value in oil-painting or in the study of ethics. That does not mean that they are valueless endeavors.

3 is also a superstition because there is no conflict between science and religion ("...real living; living with all one's soul, with all one's goodness and righteousness."--Albert Einstein) ; only science and superstition ("The Bible is literal truth").

Science WILL cure all of society's ills. Religion hasn't worked so far, has it? All religion has managed to do is create misery, with endless wars and entrenched ignorance.
Science has never pitted itself against religion. Science doesn't care about religion. Science is about knowledge and discovery. Religion is about unquestioning faith and narrow belief. If anything, religion has spent nearly two millennia fighting against scientific knowledge, because the more we know about things, the less faith we'll have in gods. Look at what happened to Galileo: He dared to challenge the Catholic church's assertion that the Earth was the center of the universe, and they had him arrested and pressured (threatened with death, as it happens) if he didn't recant and toe the Catholic line. Modern Christianity's agenda of getting "Creation Science" taught in school (which is just a way to get the bible back into publicly-funded classrooms) is religion's effort to discredit science.
Science pushes us forward. Science will be our salvation. Religion holds us back. Religion will lead to our downfall.

Atheists do not base their opinions ion superstition.
Answer to:
1: The evidence for there being a God/Gods is nil, therefore the likelihood of there being a God/Gods is so slim as to be impossible, we can confidently say there is no God/Gods until some evidence to the contrary turns up, so far it has not.
2. Atheists don't say science will cure all of societies ills, that is a lie, we say that scientists are as qualified and probably a lot better qualified to address the issues of the human condition as any theologist or clergyman, whose evidence and opinions are based on nothing at all and who arrogantly pretend to know the mind of a God/Gods they can have no meaningful understanding of even if there was a God/Gods.
3:Science doesn't exist to disprove religion, it just happens that some scientific research shows the Bible to be in error, get used to it.

That's a good one! People that believe in a superstition accusing the ones that don't believe it of being superstitious. Einstein said he believed in God until he was about 11, then he realized the Bible couldn't possibly be true. Religion has been saying for thousands of years that God would cure all the worlds problems, but it hasn't happened yet.

Well the belief of a soulless universe is also a superstition.

It is impossible to live life without having any belief that's unjustified. To live a life without any unjustified belief you will have to be a sheep and follow the Shepperd's of science. To me this would the same as following a religion and you might later find that your beliefs wasn't justified after all.
New science's might re-write what you believed to be true.

Believing in one god, 2, 3, 3000 or 0 are equally superstitious.

(1) I do believe there is no God. I do believe there is no whole range of gods. Certainly not Christian god, or muslim god, or hindu gods, or bunch of gods. What gods are you talking about specifically? Pick any one from the available origin myths and I can guarantee you I do not believe in them. Because of the complete lack of concrete evidence that can be tested in any meaningful way. Because of the many 'exclusive' gods (i.e. God X says he is the only god, and God Y says the same. both gods have different properties). Because of a whole range of reasons.

(2) you just said 'scientism'. This is not the same as atheist. Science is a tool, and it can be used for good or bad, where good or bad are read as the current moral standards of the prevalent society.

(3) I presume you are going on about the scientific method but you seem to miss a bit of the definition. Please read up.

What makes a Belief justified?
Just because you believe in one superstition more than the others doesn't make your beliefs more justified: every belief was/is written by a MAN- what type of man wrote your belief? That's what you should be arguing.
In regards to a God, Semi-God, or Pop God, atheists would rather focus on other matters than thinking about the existence of one. What rattles their boat, nearing their end (as most writers of Atheism that have passed away restructured their argument), is the amount of "coincidences" that have occured throughout their life. Some of them even invented new ideologies- to fit the times, of course.
Maybe every superstition, belief system, and dogma can be molded into one rewritten amalgamation to appease all tastes....
Oops! I forgot! Everybody has different tastes, too!!!!

Last sentence of 1st paragraph from your link on Scientism: "He later repudiated this view"

From the prohet of scientism! PROPHET!!!
"In a recent syndicated interview, Joan Sannders Wixen asked Carl Sagan about his views on the future of man. Sagan replied "I feel in order to survive we someday must be able to give up our allegiance to our nation, our religion, our race and economic group and think of ourselves more as just a temporary form of life under the creation of a power beyond our comprehension" http://emporium.turnpike.net/C/cs/sagan.htm

Actaully Atheist is a term used in the Christian faith and for them to use it means they are acknowledging the existence of Faith and or God.

They clearly need to state they are non-believers and that they believe that all came to being by accident. That there was no greater power that merged matter and created life.

There is more to say here but I figured I just throw in my 2 cents including the value of inflation and after taxes and hidden expenses likely .5 cents now.

Science is not against religion, God created the science and knowledge. The WRONG science used by atheist is the one that is an adversary to religion.
