please explain the reality of children peeling tape off of wrapped gifts that were placed in a parents closet or under the bed? Do you really think children don't get it? Please explain to me why some feel that everything must be made to all bad and struggle to see the whole picture?

My children knew and know why we celebrate Christmas and what the festivities include which is Jesus and the spirit of giving which is where St. Nicholas originated from...anyone think St. Nick had the spirit within and did not hesitate to make it known?

Modifications made in the religion always create confusion. Their is no concept of Christmas or Santa. Its just created by the Jewish business minded people for the business.

I would skip the whole holiday. They are not truly christian, nor truely acurate. Christ was born in the spring according to the sheep in the field and historical info on the census. Teach your children to love every day and to celebrate Christ's birth in thier hearts. Give presents of kindness wrapped in good will--everyday! Christians pick and choose the holidays and their content as they see fit (Christmas at Zues' bday and Yull, Easter at the pagan spring furtility festival, and Sabboth on Sunday...). Do what's best in your heart.
