Numerous "prophets" w/ numerous philosophies -- all rolled into 2-books-in-1.

I must admit, I misread your question. Not that my answer is now "obsolete" or anything, but I take it that you're insinuating that the prime philosophy of Christianity has "altered" the way people interpret the Old Testament. Thus how the NT supports making some OT laws obsolete. Well, my afforementioned answer still stands.

Old testament morality is based on personal responsibility. Therefore each person is responsible to correcting their own errors.

New testament morality claims that we are all ultimately irresponsible and therefore all responsibility is thus thrust upon faith in the claims of the followers of a Jewish carpenter that he was the son of God and died for their sins, past, present and future.

Jesus didn't come to do away with the law, but to fulfill the law. God has a balance. Breaking that balance is lawlessness.

Jesus said to fulfill the law, Love the Lord thy God with all your heart mind soul & strength and love others as yourself.

When one is born again, they are born of His spirit, cleansed by His redeeming blood, joint heirs with Jesus, part of the family of God. God is love. To fulfill the law, one needs atonement, faith & Gods love.

So the New Testament is freedom from of the letter of the law, in that we are led by the Spirit, the Spirit of Faith, Hope, Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, etc... But the letter of the Word is good reference.

Is what you are doing is rooted in Faith, Hope & Love it is everlasting rewards. This is abiding (trusting & obeying) in Christ and the Word of God.
