That is a nice belief, and I am sure it makes you feel great, and even a little superior to those of us who have honestly tried, but never heard God.
I believe that those who claim to hear the will of God, actually justify what they want to hear, or what they thing they should be hearing and call it the will of God.
I tried for over 28 years to hear and understand God's will. In the end I realized that I was getting conflicting messages from the Bible, preachers, laymen and my conscience. My attempts were an honest search for God, it came up empty. For you to say that I wasn't listening for 28 years is a bit presumptuous. I will go out on a limb here, and say that I probably have vastly more experience than you do in this subject, just with a different outcome. Sounds pompous doesn't it? Now read your question and ask yourself whether you may be suffering from the same malady as I am?

You are right- God does answer prayer- 3 ways- Yes, No and Wait. We live in a microwave culture and expect God to answer quickly and the exact way we desire. Yes, those of us who are true believers will hear His voice however we have to take the time to listen. Prayer is communicating with our heavenly father. "Those that wait upon the Lord, shall renew their strength, they shall mount up on wings like eagles, they shall run and not give weary, they shall walk and not faint"..

Do you understand by implying that you have the key to answered prayer you turn others off because of the way you worded your question/statement? People pray in many different ways and hear God in many ways.

Waiting is the key. Many think that a prayer is to be answered in "our" time. But it is not. Prayers are answered in God's time. It could be 10 or 20 years down the road, when we get our answer.

I'm glad to know you're happy.
About 'people' who, according to you, 'refuse to wait', hasn't it occurrred to you, that some of us (actually many), don't believe in your God (or in any other) and therefore don't pray/ask for anything, don't expect any answers, and, above all, are NOT WILLING to hear any unexisting voice?;) It's not a matter of waiting or not waiting my friend, it's simply a matter of NON-BELIEVING in abstractions;)

Yes, you do get answers because you are actually listening. His sheep know His voice.

He answers because you:
1.Seek him out. You display faith in kneeling, praying, and putting it in his hands.
2.Know. Once you put it in his hands, you move on without complaining. You don't seem to worry about it.
3.Act on it. Once he blesses you, you accept it and spread the word - just as you have now.
THat is a beautiful testiment. May God continue to bless you for that. Perfect!

Nope, God just plays favorites. You could stop listening and still enjoy the heightened existent that You claim to have, I do.

Because what you have prayed for God granted to you. There will be some that He will not grant for a time and others He will never grant. Those that say theirs never are answered, maybe they are asking for things that are not realistic or for selfish reasons.
