Non-Catholics might not know.....
(I went to Catholic schools for many years, though I'm not really any religion now)
.....the one "inside" info thing I really liked is that Catholics, if they see a Priest, or Nun, even a person they do not know, address them as "Father", or "Sister," and say hello to them. That is a gesture of respect that is kind of nice, and shows that even if people don't know each other, we are all connected because of God..

My caste (well sub-caste) is unique in that we are matriarchal, unlike pretty much the rest of India.
