I'm glad you referred to them as "people" and not friends, because people that act like that certainly are not friends. How do you deal with it?
Well, it sounds like you ARE tellling them "no" already, good for you.
Continue saying "no" in a firm way. People like this go around looking for people to give in to them.
If this person calls you selfish, just try this:
"you know, you are always coming to me asking me to do your work for you. You are only thinking about yourself and how you can get someone to do all your work, and you are not even thinking about how much trouble I can get in to for helping you cheat. You are the one that is selfish, not me."
Then walk away.

Someone can't make you do anything just as calling you selfish doesn't describe who you are. Get some back bone and stop being a people pleaser and you will find that you not only like yourself better but when people get used to the new you they will like you better at all.

Oh looks like you are talking about my wife.
I was afraid of and used to do everything I should not, so that there be peace in the house. But was very uncomfortable.
But now I have learnt to say no and I donno about the "peace in the house" thing but it is definitely peace of mind and I feel like Original Me again.
So learn to say no where you should. And there is no place for MEAN and THANKLESS People in your life. Be it any body.
Just tell them to f....off.
I used to have many friends in college like these and never heard from anyone after graduating.
Stick in your mind.... That ......They are Mean Not You.

sounds like a bullie. you either tell the teachers or the principle.
or you go to their supervisors if you really want it to stop.
For proof on projects you tell their supervisor what you have created and show it to them before you give it to the bullie. When the bullie turns it inas his/her own work, the supervisor will know it was yours.
