When the US and Britain have enough of these weapons between them to wipe out the world many times only. What is more is that the US and Britain sold chemical weapons to Saddam in the 1980's for use against innocent people. The US and Britain continue to sell weapons of mass destruction to third world countries who use them against their neighbours and own people on a regular basis. The hypocracy of these two countries never ceases to amaze me

A few people have commented on what Saddam did to the Kurds. I agree that this was terrible but people must remember that these chemical weapons that were used on the Kurds wre supplied to Saddam by the US and Britain. That makes these two countries partially responsible for what Saddam did to the Kurds

First of all, all the idiots above that say saddam was a dictator are just plain stupid. Saddam was a baby in the world of real dictators. oil is why they went in. Infact it is horrific what they are doing. They have paid every kurd 10,000 to move to kirkuk which is historically turkmen, put a glitch in their constitution indicating that the kurds can have free sovereignity and then plan to not nationalize oil revenue so it is cheaper to buy. god i can go on and on. they also cleared out 13 villages to make a permanent new base. you can read more http://ca.360.yahoo.com/antiwar_girl
it would have been so much better if they had just bought the oil

Dubya needed a reason to look important. He knew his father, provided Saddam and Osama with weapons but like a bad drug deal the relationship soured somewhere along the line. Anyway, with the Twin Towers falling, the Americans that knew about the cheated election (some of them) put their faith into this man. And basically that gave him permission (or he took it) to bully everybody else in the name of fighting an organization that he can´t even pronounce (al Qaeda). And of course Israel, Brittain and America have weapons of mass-destruction. But they are not part of the ´axis of evil´. It is a double-standard but that´s just the way it is. Good luck and have a nice day. Love and Respect. Peace.

Why do people keep going on about WMD's. That was one of several reasons given for going to war. So I guess that not finding WMD's makes it ok that Hussien was killing and or torturing a large portion of his population. Or that there were several outstanding violations of UN regulations. But I forgot that the media and the Dems are making sure that none of the other reasons get air time.
I guess this is the best you can expect from a population that uses the daily show as their only political news source.

Bush is trying his best to clean up the mess left by former presidents, his father included. Give the man a break. Besides, what one President does is always going to be different from what the next will do. We not only invaded Iraq for the wmd's but also bc of the terrorists that occupied that country and still do.

The Republicans are the hypocrites here!
They gave Saddam the WMDs and told him to use them against the Kurds and the Iranians - so that the Republicans could steal these folks oil!!!!!!
Its just that simple!
Evidently Saddam did not want to share his "Oil Revenues" with the Republicans - so they got pissed and decided to take him out!

Ask the Kurds about the "alleged" WMD. What exactly is your question? I think you just want to make a political statement.

That is really the root of the issue for me. Not whether we were lied to about the existence of the WMD, but the fact that it could be a reason for invasion...considering the US hold the same weaponry. How this has escaped the American public is beyond me.
