You won't know for certain that you can hold something down successfully until you actually do.
IN the meantime you need to keep yourself from getting dehydrated which can lead to very serious problems and can require hospitalization.
Try sipping some warm, slightly flat cola or gingerale. You can also try cola syrup (sold in pharmacies). There is also a syrup available over the counter in most pharmacies called Emetrol (may be labeled as Anti-Nausea Syrup). This will stop the nausea cold.......BUT you might not want to take it if you suspect you have some sort of food poisoning. In that case you might be keeping the bad bacteria in your body instead of vomitting it out.
I would suggest trying the warm (room temperature) sodas and if you are still throwing everything up by later this afternoon, call your doctor.
Feel better

Oh dear.
I've run into this before while dealing with a very nasty stomach flu. Try drinking two spoons of crushed ice and coke classic every 5 minutes. No more and no faster: Otherwise your body will reject it. Or you could try a similar pattern with ginger ale or ginger tea.
If you're still not able to keep anything down, get someone to take you to the hospital: You are in very real danger of dehydrating.
Feel better!

Water actually makes you puke....don't drink it. You're better off drinking fruit juices (real fruit juices, not sugar and fruit concentrated juice). As for food, the lighter the food, the better, try low salt crackers, or toast, clear broth or cream of wheat. Only give it a day though, if you don't get better really soon, go see your doctor!

I suggest you to get up immediately and go to the loo to poo poo. You can get all the bacteria out of your body. Better go and see the doctor to see what's up with you.Drink the medicine the Dr. give and make sure you have a eating vitamin time table. Follow the daily diet from the food pyramid.
Wish you luck!
