We tend to think of weight loss as always being fat loss-it isn't!

If you weigh WHILE you are working out, your weight will appear higher because your muscles retain water. Also, muscle is more dense than fat, so the scale doesn't always tell the whole truth.
The best check is to see how your clothing fits. Better yet, take measurements of your upper arms, chest, waist, abs, hips, and thighs. This will give you a good indicator of how much progress you've actually made.

Because you're losing muscle mass when you stop working out...even for only a week! I went through the same thing and asked my trainer...and that's what he told me. And, I tested it by doing a body fat analysis. I went in and worked out every other day for a week. At the end of the week I weighed in at 128 w/ a body fat percentage of 20. Then I stopped for a week, went in at the end of the week and weighed 126 but my body fat percentage went up to 23...muscle weighs more than fat baby girl!

Muscles weigh more than fat. When you are working out, those muscles add a couple of pounds. When you stop for a week or so, you start to lose the muscle so you weigh less. Nice to know.

there are some way work out program that are actually designed for weight gaining. maybe you should check with the fitness instructor there in the gym which program will lose you weight. :-) hope i have helped.
